VOD, Simple Clint, & Stalker questions

I know that everything is up in the air with Stalker right now but I am wondering if there is any reason to try to make Stalker work.

I know that I don't have VOD on Simple but it seems that it is available on Stalker. Is this true? What channels offer VOD? How does it work? Are there any other advantages?

You can get VoD and regular channels by using m3u add-ons. The advantage of the PVR is that you may have an EPG. The m3u solutions are usually easier to configure.

That's a huge advantage.

I went ahead and set up Coach Potatos solution and it worked perfect. EPG is better than simple client with edited list for some reason.

Is channel changing faster if in use MAC address? I'm using rocket I'd right now and it's 3 seconds to change.

Channel changing speed reports are anecdotal. Remember, this is via the internet, and so your results are different than others, all due to the route your channel request is made to the server. If anything, just using the donation number only methods would be easier to authenticate, but we won't know how they actually do that at the server. They claim that they will be more secure than Stalker middleware using the MAC authentication.
