As the picture says, this is my new addon used as a client for the PAPIAO 's IPTV STALKER

For now, the addon supports the latest available IPTV portals :



s1.iptv66.tv
p1.iptvrocket.tv
p1.iptvprivateserver.tv
p2.iptvprivateserver.tv




And it also suports 2 type of user accounts:



"MAC & Donation" (portal) based accounts
"Donation Only" based accounts (MAC = 00:00:00:00:00:00)




My addon has a feature to detect the exact type of your account automatically,
hence you don't have to mess with your account (leave it as it is)


My addon also has a feature as an M3U playlist generator,
It will rebuild, fix & sync. the playlist with any available XMLTV files (credits to viper8690 & PACh)
then it will run the PVR Simple Client 's settings automatically

NOTES

1. The released addon is a LITE-VERSION one.
Thus, it DOES NOT have any extra features, such as addon's EMBEDDED EPG & RECORDING
But you can still have the EPG by generating the PVR Simple Client configuration



2. VOD channels now are also supported and playable too since v1.0.4 / v1.0.4-r2

3. For any users who have MAC based accounts:
The best way to run the PVR Simple Client is by choosing the DYNAMIC LINKS as the playlist reference
The addon will run as a web server (gateway), so the IPTV portal session's token will be re-updated automatically



4. The addon has only been tested with Kodi Jarvis (I hate Krypton), with the default skin (CONFLUENCE)

Thanks Couch Potato..............I'm using it on Kodi 16.1 ..........with linked Mac (NFPS) .......channels work but after a few seconds ...sound stops and the video slows up some...tried many channels all seem to do the same thing......Vod shows up but won't show video........................Anything I may be missing....to tweak this addon or something in Kodi it's self

floder2, try using the add-on without the linked MAC. It's probably not needed. I had no issues with watching one particular channel.

btw, which type of acc. are you using now?

I've just tested it with 2 different acc:

1. NFPS : MAC based
2. IKS : donation

1. with the MAC based acc (NFPS), I haven't found any issue yet
all the genres match with their channels
and the language filter also works well

2. with the DONATION based acc.
all the genres also match with their channels
but the language filter doesn't run properly

fyi, I'm using the channel # as filter reference based on MAC based acc. (action=get_all_channels)
and I made the addon to detect any channel numbers which is greater than 640 as foreign channels (#644 = "Murcia TV 7")

and I forgot that the DONATION based acc & MAC based ones use different numbering system

I will fix it in my next release
but you can also change the value by yourself... it's in the "stalker.py" line #38

sorry mate I don't have that kind of issue

maybe the issue was on your client side (video acceleration, kodi's buffering/cache, etc)
or the worst might be on the server side due to portal migration

Replicated the bug again with a real rocket account. Seems to be an issue when the Adults are blocked, so genres after that one are wrong. When the adults are made visible, the proper channels appear. I use the "Information" genre to test which should bring up the news channels.

I'm not sure if the MAC requirement will be enforced for non-STB or Stalker applications, as I can readily use my code within the m3u link, even with a MAC enabled in the checker, and I can also use xtreams-codes as well without nulling the MAC. Once NFPS is fully converted, it won't be an issue, but I do like the ability to enter a custom server, even though I have no need to use it.

I don't know why I missed that part

I simulated the process according to your description
and I think I got the culprit, then I found the solution

in the "show_tv()" function @ "addon.py"
I changed this following code:

cmd = [None, {'mode':'channel', 'cat':genres[genre][1]}]
with these ones:

cat = [id for name,id in genres if name == opt[genre]][0]
cmd = [None, {'mode':'channel', 'cat':cat}]

and I think now I get the proper result:

yes! I set the thumbnail for the IPTV and the fanart/thumbnail one the VOD as their default view mode

I can remove the code for you mate in my next release :)

All the red-light channels will be password protected

All the protected items will be marked with yellow color

And you will be asked for the password

Not just you, but everyone posting a bug... you need to say which server, and whether you are MAC based or just Donation based. Also, before posting, if you have an error, first try starting from defaults, as well as have completed an IPTV Reset before configuring.

for start you could folow these steps:
1. re-delete all files in your userdata
2. find the file: Kodi/addons/plugin.video.potatoTV/addon.py
3. rename it to any name
4. download this file: www.mediafire.com/file/wy76foo979sggso/addon.py.zip
5. extract & copy it to the Kodi/addons/plugin.video.potatoTV/
6. enable your kodi debug logging
7. run the addon
8. find your log file h++p://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Advanced
7. open & edit it
8. paste it to pastebin
9. send the pastebin link to me PRIVATELY

maybe your previous epg cache is still active...
try following these steps:

1. disable live tv
2. clear both tv & epg data
3. exit kodi
4. goto: Kodi/userdata/Database
5. delele all these files: Epg*.db & TV*.db
6. start kodi
7. re-enable live tv

Yes, I am on the new portal (s1.iptv66.tv/c/) and am currently using the built in Stalker Client with yahyabell for the guide (which still works fine for me). I disabled Stalker Client while trying to run Potato TV but I'm not sure if more needs to be done (do I need a new mac or just an IPTV reset or something else perhaps?)

I wanted to ask before blindly changing too much so I could fall back on my current setup that still works.

I installed potato TV using my NFPS credentials on a Fire Stick (g2) running 16.1. It worked with some stuttering.

With the recent changes to many of the Exodus/SALTS content providers upgrading to TLS 1.1 I found myself forced to upgrade to Kryptoon (17.1). I find it's working much better on 17.1 than it was on 16.1. Note: I've not set up the EPG yet so I can't comment on that.

If you despise the 17.1 itnerface as much as I do, do the following:
On the kodi home screen go to settings (gear icon at the top), Interface Settings, Select the Skin, Select "Get More", then select Confluence. Now you'll have the upgraded 17.1 and it's TLS support with the look/feel you enjoyed before.

I'm sure the new krypton interface is great for tablets, but if you've got a remote in hand I prefer the old Confluence skin. Plus, I don't feel like starting over in trying to demonstrate to mom how to use kodi :).

I'm attempting to set up Potato TV as I understand the built in Stalker Client days are numbered. So far I've set up Potato TV as per the instruction at the beginning of this thread (with the same info as my Stalker Client settings) and also enabled PVR IPTV Simple Client.

I'm getting two errors when I try to open IPTV or VOD within Potato TV:

1. ERROR: Authentication FAILED 'mac'

Click OK then get this:
2. ERROR: INVALID LOGIN

Will a simple IPTV reset fix this or does something else need to be done as well?

I installed potato TV using my NFPS credentials on a Fire Stick (g2) running 16.1. It worked with some stuttering.

With the recent changes to many of the Exodus/SALTS content providers upgrading to TLS 1.1 I found myself forced to upgrade to Kryptoon (17.1). I find it's working much better on 17.1 than it was on 16.1. Note: I've not set up the EPG yet so I can't comment on that.

If you despise the 17.1 itnerface as much as I do, do the following:
On the kodi home screen go to settings (gear icon at the top), Interface Settings, Select the Skin, Select "Get More", then select Confluence. Now you'll have the upgraded 17.1 and it's TLS support with the look/feel you enjoyed before.

I'm sure the new krypton interface is great for tablets, but if you've got a remote in hand I prefer the old Confluence skin. Plus, I don't feel like starting over in trying to demonstrate to mom how to use kodi

It's an issue at the server, not the add-ons.

if you're running *nix o/s (osx, linux, android)
you can run following command via terminal:


find POTATO_TV_DIR -type f -name '*.py' -exec sed -i '' s/silver/YOUR_COLOR/ {} \;


for windows, you can find any apps by GOOGLE'ing this :

windows replace text files


in my next release, I will also add a new sub called "COLOR(text, color)"

which can be used to customized the font color, especially for any text variables used by xbmcgui.Dialog()

of course, you have to do it by yourself, I don't want to get the same headache as yours lol

in PVR, you have to 2 clicked options:

"CHANNELS" --> channel view mode
"GUIDES" --> timeline view mode



in video addon, there is only a "CHANNELS" mode
but I'm sorry it's not available in the lite released version

You can't disable LiveTV in Kodi 17. All you can do is to disable the individual PVRs.

I have 2 boxes. box 1 M8s works perfectly Box 2 MXIII on the other hand i have this issue. I Set up potato tv with info, click configre IPTV simple client ( Nothing happens ) I Enable IPTV Simple Client, but it disables as soon as i enable Live tv. I'm using kodi 16.1 on both boxes with potato tv. Clicking " configure iptv simple client " in potato tv doesn't seem to work on the box 2, but worked perfect on box one. i have uninstalled iptv simple client and re installed with new Kodi 16.1 over top. Still issues. Why wont IPTV simple client stay enabled ??? Anyone ?

I've just found an issue with VOD... but I'm sure it's related to the server

the issue ONLY HAPPENED with anyone who has DONATION BASED acc.

they will get te following error: urlopen error [Errno 54] Connection reset by peer

My ? I guess is, without manual editing can this be accomplished? I have same settings as I would in before under tv for using channel backend for #'s and order so on but it doesn't load like your channels would on IKS (channel number wise) or the previous version of kodi stalker (stock version in kodi)

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated :)

unfortunately the PVR Simple Client is not a real native backend
thus it doesn't have a feature to make a custom channel #

But...

there is a trick way to customize the playlist # and synchronizing them with the backend (provider)
it's really a dumb trick lol... but trust me it works!

for example:

you have: 2. Channel #2 | 5. Channel #5 | 7. Channel #7

the normal playlist:

Not really. All that does is remove the TV selection from the main menu. The PVR is still on in background.

Disabling live tv clearing everything disabling pvr Reboot kodi click the pvr setup again enable everything clear everything presto bango everything works

In all cases where the pvr hasn't loaded live tv and vod within the addon are functional its only the pvr that isn't ?

Again this seems to only happen when kodi crashes....Using win 7 Kodi 16.1

maybe epg xmltv file size was too big / slow to be downloaded by your system
it failed to be sync'ed with the pre-loaded m3u playlist

please send me the log file, so we can find the culprit

btw, have you tried to change the value of the "UPDATE INTERVAL" @ settings | tv | guide to the highest one ?

today i test this potato addon and it is working excellent on most ch on pvr adult don't work but that it is ok with me.
a bit hard to change the password for adult over all working a lot better the
extream code addon

on this 3 players the ch stop playing after 30 seg or bit more do to the extencion of the links they are .ts and not .m3u if any one like to make a test
london live it is m3u you can use this ch vs any other that you like example discovery usa it is .ts

Regarding per clients "Pvr IPTV Simple Client" is the one that's selected in my settings and it's only one that will load channels. Have I the right pvr?

Click on that and it loads your info into the PVR Simple Client.
When you restart Kodi, and if the PVR Simple Client is Enabled, It will load the Ch.'s and EPG info and you will get a TV Tab on your Home Screen.
Clicking that and selecting guide will give you what you are looking for.

vod is addon only atm hopefully its possible to add the vod to the pvr in the future. Personally I just shortcutted the vod to my movies section in the meantime

Regarding per clients "Pvr IPTV Simple Client" is the one that's selected in my settings and it's only one that will load channels. Have I the right pvr?

the picture is not telling that you're accessing the pvr menu... you're still in video environment instead

since I'm too lazy (hell yeah! a couch potato never leaves the couch) to write a complete walkthru'
I will only suggest you to:

1. find out which kodi version (14-17) and skin (confluence, estuary, etc) you're using
2. visit our best-friend home (google, youtube) to search this:

I still don't see the point to put the vod in the M3U playlist:

1. VODs are not a LIVE streaming media
playing them with pvr will not offer the FF / RWD option

2. if you're a movie freak and you have a MAC based account
stalker backend will send you some useful metadata for the movies
the pvr doesn't have a feature to show the metadata
yes! the metadata can also be included in the EPG... but it will make the xmltv filesize bigger & longer to load


3. VOD has too many items in its list
including the whole items in the M3U playlist will have a failure risk due to the loading timeout

What time zone are you couch potato addon you select what city you are in and it does everything for you
If you are EST you want GMT -4 if CST GMT -5 MST -6 Pac -7

Make sure you go into the system settings and clear live tv data and guide data also make sure you are reseting your device after everything is cleared

If its working on P1 I would assume the addon is able to detect if your p2 p3 p4 or p5

NFPS does not give me the option to change from p2 server to p1 server for this donation number. I tested the addon with a second donation number that is on p1 and it works perfect.

Disable TV, Clear data under TV channels, Clear data under Guide, Shut down Kodi...for added measure delete the TV*.db and EPG*.db files in the userdata/database folder, Restart Kodi and Enable TV.

You cannot have a playlist with a MAC assigned. It says it right there on the site when you search and it brings up your info. If you want a playlist, you have to change the MAC and then DELETE everything in that field. It will then show 00:00:00:00:00:00 after the change. THEN there will be an option to get a playlist. Select Generic M3U or Generic M3U with options; Highlight that info (http://p1.iptvprivateserver.tv:80/get.php?username=xxxxxxxxxxxx&password=xxxxxxxxxxxx&type=m3u&output=ts) and copy (Control plus C).

Open vlc and do Control N and a network stream box opens. Paste the info in there (Control plus V). Give is a bit and it will populate with the playlist and show the channels.
There are stickys and videos that go further into this. Look at the sticky by Crazed for How To Get A Playlist and also under Announcements there are videos that show options for using the playlist.

Even though the server show p2.iptvprivateserver.tv it should be automatically forward to p1.iptvprivateserver.tv so the latter is what you put into any of the addons.
If you want to change the server number on the website, select Change Portal on the papiao site.

Seems like several people are having issues with p2 today. Obviously server work is ongoing. If using p2.iptvprivateserver.tv doesn't work in custom then opt for one of the other ways to access the server. I realize that's stating the obvious. Good luck.

if your ISP gives you a dynamic public IP... have you tried to reset your modem (or just do a little MAC tweaking with your router) in order to get a new IP

Hello, so the coach potato app works great, no freezing channels switch nicely but i'm having an issue with the simple IPTV side of it.
The PVR loads and I can access the channels. The issue is when I select a channel the first 3-5 seconds of the picture is like on fast forward then its all shaky with the sound being 2-5 seconds ahead of the picture.
Anyone else had this issue?
I am using kodi 16, fresh install on avov online+.

you can try to disable it
or replace the kodi with the SPMC which supports amlogic devices

Kens has decent instructions for getting Couch Potato TV and the IPTV Simple client working in tandem. The only thing I'll add is if IPTV Simple client doesn't load, click the m3u server START button on the IPTV Simple client dialogue inside Couch Potato TV.

Work through the directions slowly and you will get things working. Guide selection and activation is available from the IPTV Simple client dialogue as well.

with the new system applied, now there are 2 types of account availabe with stalker's portal

1. DONATION based :
this account will use the same donation # as both user's ID & PASSWORD to generate a direct link for the streaming

2. MAC & DONATION based :
this account will only use the donation # as the user's ID
you don't have to change your MAC to null
and the stalker portal will automaticaly generate a different PASSWORD based on the token's session,
and it requires a valid MAC to generate the session's token

for example:

the direct link for the HBO EAST:

your donation #: 123456ABCDEF
your portal: p1.iptvprivateserver.tv:80


if you have a DONATION based acc., the link will become:

but if you have a MAC based acc:
you need any app which can comunicate with the stalker portal to perform a handshake action
it requires a valid DONATION # and MAC
if your account is legit, the portal will generate a fresh token and also the user password (based on the token)

thus, the direct link will become:

Each generated token will always has their specific expiry time (it won't last forever.. only valid for few minutes/hours)

1. automatically detect which type of account you are using
2. generate a proper user's ID (donation #) and also a proper user's PASSWORD
(donation based: donation # ...or... MAC based: token based password)


but of course, the addon still need a liile help from you
you have to make sure that your account is VALID & LEGIT


you have to decide which type account you want to use
is it DONATION based ? or MAC based ?

if DONATION based:

you don't have to have a valid MAC (any MAC will be ignored / become null)

but you have to make sure, your account IS REALLY A DONATION Based !!!

try to browse the url below:

if the browser is able to redirect you to download an M3U playlist, thus your account is valid as a DONATION based

in some cases, after doing the IPTV RESET at papiao website
YOU JUST HAVE TO WAIT for several minutes/hours to get the new reset'ed account be activated


COMMON CASES

If you are sure that you've already reset your account and you have set the MAC to nul (00:00:00:00:00:00)
and weirdly...
you are not able to download a proper M3U playslist based on your donation #
or..
the playlist can be downloaded, but only few channels can be opened / watched

it means:
the stalker portal IS NOT ABLE to recognize / detect your account as a valid DONATION based account
the stalker poltar will still require a valid MAC to create a proper password... although you have nulled the MAC

THUS...
YOU JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES/HOURS to get your new account be activated


If you DON'T WANT TO MESS UP with that issue:

you can keep your account as a MAC & DONATION based one
thus, you're still have your valid donation # & MAC which will be instantly detected by the stalker portal as a valid account

I got some progress tonight. For the past few days, i was stuck on not being able to load channels bc of portal 2, so i reconfigured everything to portal 2, even though I thought it auto redirects to p1, but now everything works!! yay the epg even works but doesn't show up in colors and the time span is not correct but who cares enough tinkering on my end. im gonna hibernate on these forums now lol maybe fix the time issue before im fully satisfied ;)

Did you ever resolve this? Not on pc so can't just edit files manually that easily.

I see that we're +2 hours ahead of the accurate epg listings, so i shifted the time by -2, by using different cities in the couch app's time zone and it doesn't even shift in the epg listings. Even on the simple client yet no changes. So frustrating, I'm also on EST.

Edit 2 = I FIXED MY ISSUE! So basically I switched the city in the couch app but I think that pointless, so skip that step, but here's what you do...

DISABLE IPTV SIMPLE CLIENT, go into that app's configuration, change the time shift to say 0, NOT -4, apply to all channels selected, cache in local storage DISABLED, and then press ok to leave the screen. DO NOT ENABLE THE SIMPLE CLIENT PVR YET!! Go to the system's setting into Live TV/PVR screen, erase TV data and EPG GUiDE data, do it few times, and then press OK to leave the screen. REBOOT your system. Again, go into system's settings to again clear out EPG Data and Live TV data, press oK after you do this to leave the screen. I see that we're +2 hours ahead of the accurate epg listings, so i shifted the time by -2, by using different cities in the couch app's time zone and it doesn't even shift in the epg listings. Even on the simple client yet no changes. So frustrating, I'm also on EST.

Edit 2 = I FIXED MY ISSUE! So basically I switched the city in the couch app but I think that pointless, so skip that step, but here's what you do...

DISABLE IPTV SIMPLE CLIENT, go into that app's configuration, change the time shift to say 0, NOT -4, apply to all channels selected, cache in local storage DISABLED, and then press ok to leave the screen. DO NOT ENABLE THE SIMPLE CLIENT PVR YET!! Go to the system's setting into Live TV/PVR screen, erase TV data and EPG GUiDE data, do it few times, and then press OK to leave the screen. REBOOT your system. Again, go into system's settings to again clear out EPG Data and Live TV data, press oK after you do this to leave the screen. you are running the kodi krypton (17.x), aren't you?

sorry I only tested my addod with kodi jarvis (16.x) and I've just found the issue happens in the newer version of kodi

I know how to fix it
you may either wait until my next version relesed
or...
you can fit it by yourself:

1. go to: Kodi/addons/plugin.video.potatoTV/
2. open: stalker.py

3. find a text line contains:
percent = (100 * (1+page-start) / max_pages)

4. replace it with:
percent = int(100 * (1+page-start) / max_pages)

5. save the file & restart the addon

I've posted that the vod metada will be available for those who has a MAC & DONATION based account

fyi, the stalker's portal will treat any MAC based acc. sama as any account which are running for Stalker supported STB box or STB Emu (iptv stalker plus or iptv stalker client)

BUT...

if your account is only a DONATION based...
you will only get a M3U playlist which doesn't provide you any extra info/metada, beside channel's name, icon, url




What channels are giving you the error message? Name a few so we can take a gander.

there are 2 possible reason:

1. if it happened with all premium channels : your account is not legit (invalid)

2. if it only happened with some premium channels, but not with the other premium channels (e.g. USTV: OK but UKTV: ERROR)

it means that the channels with error were down (temporarily?)

you can check it by yourself by using a different video player (i.e. VLC Player)
and it will give you the same result too

if you want towatch any adult contents but my addon only gives you a random/wrong video (mostly you will watch cartoons lol)
it means your adult contents are PASWORD PROTECTED and you have entered the INCORRECT PASSWORD

Just a note if anyone wants to reload 16 back onto 17. You have to delete everything and start from scratch or you will have problems(Screen icons missing etc).(At least I did!).
I also forgot to try the EPG Time adjust settings available in advancesettings.xml, but you really should not have to use this.

I've just installed the kodi krypton (which I really realy hate).. just to make a "starving man" happy lol

since I don't know how to perform the "CLEAR DATA" for both TV & EPG within the krypton,
I only do this:

1. run the pvr auto-setings thru' my addon
2. quit krypton (thanks God)
3. open Kodi/userdata/Database/
4. delete all of TV*.db & Epg*.db files
5. restart krypton (damned!)

your issues probably was only on your side, related to loading timeout due to many things
i.e. RAM, cache buferring, or ISP's bad routing

maybe you could try:

1. google: kodi cache buffer
2. re-check your connection
3. use VPN

all kodi addons are based on Python, thus they will support common multi-platform o/s

I had a similar issue like yours when I tried to run my addon on a fresh-installed kodi 17.x
all channels were loaded in pvr playlist, but they couldn't be played when I clicked them

but I got it fixed easily, by deleting all of TV*.db & Epg*.db files in Kodi/userdata/Database/
then all channels in the playlist could be played flawlessly

any one else having majors issues with couch potato's addon? i have read every post and people ask a question or have issues, and in the next posting everything is fine without any explanation. i ain't a coder. but it seems every two weeks iptv is down for a week. so out of a month i get three weeks of service. 75% uptime for 100% of my money. i know it's not guys working on the issues and solving problems. just venting. every two weeks the bloody thing changes

Power off device and do an iptv reset and wait 15mins this fixes 99.9% of issues

I would also suggest you to try the Kamikaze way :D

1. uninstall my addon
2. completely remove both directories: "Kodi/addons/plugin.video.potatoTV" and "Kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.potatoTV"
3. reinstall my addon
4. disable the live-tv
5. clear tv & epg 's data
6. quit kodi
7. goto: "Kodi/userdata/Database/" and delete all of TV*.db & Epg*.db files
8. restart kodi
9. enable the live-tv

and...

You can only have one Stalker Instance Enabled (IPTV Simple Client/ Stalker/ Emu/ TVOnline etc.).
When you start Kodi, all Stalker middleware will attempt to login to the server. In this case you will need to disable all but 1, and clear data, IPTV Reset then Re-Enable to function and connect properly.

Hmmm i guess i should have asked this question before i lost my mind. Does PVR IPTV simple client support papiao.is donation based credentials? I'm still having an issue. I followed CP instructions than Kens, but i still can't get my head around it. Every once in awhile the guide would load(no tv icon though, like stalker client) went into CP and got invalid login 'mac'

I'm using 16.1 jarvis, Titanium /w xonfluence skin. I'll try what you say. As long as I can get tv through the guide I'm a happy camper. But like I said, when I try IPTV or VOD through the addon directly....nothing.

I would also suggest you to try the Kamikaze way :D

1. uninstall my addon
2. completely remove both directories: "Kodi/addons/plugin.video.potatoTV" and "Kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.potatoTV"
3. reinstall my addon
4. disable the live-tv
5. clear tv & epg 's data
6. quit kodi
7. goto: "Kodi/userdata/Database/" and delete all of TV*.db & Epg*.db files
8. restart kodi
9. enable the live-tv

and...

if you knew how to enable the kodi's log,
it would be so helpful if you could also send me the log file, PRIVATELY


Sorry to say that didn't work. I did what you said, then when I go to clear the caches from within the addon it get an invalid path error message. And my channels do not load. So the guide is blank.

The way I did it was get stalker working > you've done that
Next Disable Stalker and restart kodi
clear the general data and guide under Settings(wheel at top of screen by power button) >TV/PVR
enable IPTV simple client
restart kodi
setup Couch Potato
it should work

Ok I enabled all of kodi's logs event,component and debug. Not sure what I'm doing. Ok I've just disabled debug logging. It seemed to run on and on and on. Not sure I want this. You can shoot me a note and tell me exactly what log and how. I would be happy to send you the information you ask for.

I somewhat got it working ok Kodi 18 alpha. Potato TV works but when PVR Simple client not so good. Once I get it working the channel plays fine for a few minutes then kodi stops responding. Also the guide only shows 1 channel. But I think this is just because I am running kodi 18 alpha. Also when I restart kodi and go to live tv I dont get any channels unless I go in to settings and clear the data. Then it starts working but stops after a couple of minutes. I will try it on kodi 17 to see if I get the same issue.

If you're trying to use a playlist you can't have a mac address I think, when I set up potato I just used stalker and shut it off, then switched to iptv simple cllient following kens instructions. Maybe Couch Potato will see this and tell you how to fix it

If you get it working with the mac address, you won't need a playlist. The guide will have all the tv channels (select TV and arrow over twice just like in stalker) and in the potato addon there is a choice for VOD or tv channels. Choose VOD for the movies

What I found is that when I got potato running, I backed up my addon folder and my userdata folder. Now every time I want potato to work. I must delete my userdata and my addon folder and replace them with my back up. Then I can load channels from the guide, but neither IPTV or vod from within the addon itself work.

First, you aren't giving enough information. I'm going to assume NFPS, so try changing your IPTV portal, as well as making your MAC all zero's, then use Custom if you switched to P2.iptvprivateserver.tv. You probably won't need to change your donation number.

The process is easier with a Donation only account, you really only need a MAC+Donation account if you are using an STB or for some reason need movie genre's for Potato TV.

Ok just went back to papio.tv to change my portal. It changed from p1 to p2. Went back into potato and typed p2.iptvprivateserver.tv in the stalker portal didn't add my mac just my donation number. Now I am able to go into iptv and check the links everything is working fine. Now I have to setup my pvr which I wasn't having an issue with earlier.

There was an unannounced change to allow users to change their donation numbers, but that may have also affected some users where they used to be able to log in, but get no response from their add-ons when trying to get their channel lists.

Yes no announcement. I was using ivue tv guide and was trying to get on some stuff and it was doing weird stuff. So I went online and I found this thread randomly and downloaded potato through here. Then starting using the pvr client instead. Best move I have made on kodi. Very easy to use and setup once other things are working.

I was using mac+Donation without any issues with authentication issues. Now I'm just using my donation number. No issues with anything right now. The pvr client is working well. Just forgot to setup my guide and channel logos. I fixed that but I noticed the channel logos are different from what I had the other day. Not a major issue to me but if there is another xml for then I'm willing to try.
