Hi All!
Unless I misunderstand it the MAG 254 box is just a small board that has a built in hardcoded Linux server/program/front end that we see and use for IPTV. Most STB emulators just run an app/program on top of Android or PC platforms to emulate that same front end with all the overhead/lag such emulation incurs.
Just wondered if there isn't a Linux load/platform for use on a PC? NOT an emulation but the real Linux server/program as in the MAG 254.
Seems like that would give us access to tremendous CPU power AND loads of RAM memory, built-in drive space for storage etc...
Is there such a Linux setup? Maybe an easy to use euubootable from a CD/DVD ? AND would the MAC address 00:1A:79***** requirement be worked around ?
Please Edumicate me ...... Thanks.

Thanks for the reply but my question was if there is the SAME load/front end we get on a MAG 254 box which doesn't use KODI at all. The MAG 254 front end we see doesn't look for "add-ons" or such. It works just as-is. RAS.
