Is there away to turn them on ?
i tried going to app button with no luck.if keeps defaulting to the off position

The stream is broadcast as it is, if subtitles are turned on at the source, everyone gets it, if it is not, you can not see it. As far as I know there is no way to turn it on or off on your end but if some one knows otherwise, they can post it.
