mag 256 locks on load line on channels

hi can someone help I bought a mag256 everything loads right a get a guide it loads the movies and they work but every channel I try it loads the progress bar on the channel than stops and no picture. I have a 254 and it works fine.

yes it does, any 256 model does.

i asked about wifi because as you prolly know that is an ac setting with the w2 model.

Regarding the mag, i have the 256 w1, witch has wifi too,but i am on the hard wire.

But, my bad... i have 2 ip services,that i pay and my main one quite working , getting the loading bar while in channels, and while i switched to the service provided here it did expired, so i have to renew .

Can't do any tests now,because not active.

I am thinking something could be from the last firmware that was at end of feb 2017, as it di stop working from that day.

sorry guys but so far the infomir access is only for that one firmware for the 256

infomir does have another firmware for the 256 and they been beta testing it.. I have seen good results but still infomir has not released it publically yet ... :(

So because my active iptv subscription i have does not work, not loading at the channels, i have talk to someone and they opened a trial for my mag256 , few hours trial so i can test,at portal 2 , so i can see if that one will work, and it did ! I had all video and audio ,HD , everything was working fine! But nothing worked with my first active subscription at portal 1. Problem maybe , portal 1 comes from over seas servers, and portal 2 is from within Us servers, so we may have a internet problem, or ISP (your local internet provider) is blocking some stuff, like lines to other side of the globe, where u normally pulling your subscription from.

To check if there is a problem with your internet,you can pink your portal http, to see if you have high .ms
So @ your pc, go to cmd.exe and put: ping http://yourportal.com -t and observer what numbers you pulling , if the .ms is over 90 ,then that is to high and there is a internet problem,then you have to call
your internet provider to diagnostic the line. Mine the .ms went high is 180.ms so maybe thats why from some portals may not work. Also my internet is all most half way down,from what i suppose to receive for download,so there is a problem there too. (compare to this,the ping: in cmd.exe enter: ping www.google.com -t the results)
You can also do cmd.exe then enter this: tracert http://yourportalinfi.com
Anyway, it could be from firmware also.
More testing doing , hope to get to the bottom of this, wh some portals not working.

thanks for the update Patrocle . I am going to try a different server all together and see if it works. also I was on 1.iptvprivateserver and switched to 2 but I had same problem.

ok I have tried a totally different server I can get channels now but can't navigate through menu just locks up so I am sure this is a firmware bug I think as long as you have not taken the lastest update I think it would work fine. this was a brand new mag so I needed the update.

I have a MAG 256W2 and using beta firmware 7.11, this fixes most issues and my 256W2 runs almost flawlessly. Get it from here

And how old is that firmware?

Correct, all versions of MAG 256 (256/256w1/256w2) use the same firmware. The beta fw 7.11 is from January 2017 so slightly older but it works well for me.

I will also try the latest fw (Feb 2017) on my 256W2 and report back if any issues. I'm not using iptv66 or iptvrocket iptv, so my experience will confirm whether the issues affect ALL iptv users or just those using iptv66/iptvrocket.

Ok I updated my MAG 256W2 to the latest firmware 2.20.01-256 and everything is running as smooth as a baby's bottom, on both of my IP subs. However I'm not using iptvprivateserver/iptv66/iptvrocket. So my guess is that there are compatibility issues with the iptv services mentioned. I attach screenshots which shows which stalker version is being used on my MAG 256:

So i went and downgraded to the firmware posted above and same result,no go for me...

For some reason, i am getting high pink when i ping to my iptv server ,witch is around 180 .ms

I think i may have a internet problem, i suppose to have 100 mb/s and while testing the speed i am getting only 50-55 mb/s (connected from modem to computer,or even modem>wireless router>computer)

High ping happens when i think packets are overseas. (Out side of Us)

Is also why we have not really liked to see this firmware posted here on site.
I am not saying that the firmware is bad, heavens no. I do know for a fact that it originally comes from infomir, but until it is 100% in their eyes, they will not put it up on their website for release.
