I have had this up and running now for over 1 month on kodi version 17. All of a sudden yesterday, I got the dreaded authentication failed. No problem I thought....Here is what I have tried so far:
1. Did an IPTV reset.....did not work
2. changed the mac address on the portal and on the box, did an iptv reset....still does not work
3. Changed the serial number, device id etc....still does not work (yes, I did an IPTV reset)
4. Okay at this point, lets get serious, uninstalled kodi completely and reinstalled, reconfigured....still does not work.
5. Set the mac address back to 00's on the web site...did an ip rest.....waited, reset the mac address to one that was working for the last month, IPTV reset....you guessed it, failed
6. Set up my mag 254 box, changed the MAC address on the server, and the mag 254 works fine.
7. Did one more last ditch effort, changed mac address etc serial number, deleted cached info in tv settings, restarted kodi.....no love there either.
8. Decide what the heck for now I'll just use the mag 254 (although I like the guide better on the iptv pvr), and go figure, I have done my max searches on the rocket site, so now I can't even use the mag 254.
Anybody have any other troubleshooting steps I can try?

Hi,
That makes two of us.
I bought an account three days ago and try to run the Stalker client (Jamal Eday -2.8.3) on kodi version 17.
I did exactly the same steps and the only response i get is authentication denied.

glad to see I am not the only one. What is strange is that this was working fine for about 1 month and then just stopped. I know the account is good as it works on the mag 254. hopefully someone will have some insight. By the way, same version as you and it was working.
Update, I was able to get this working today after reading other posts:
1. I 00 out the mac address again on the website then put in my working mac address. Then did an IPTV reset
2. made sure iptv pvr stalker client was disabled
3. In the configuration, validated the MAC address matched what was on the website
4. Used the following NEW url http://p1.iptvrocket.tv/c/
5. Changed the device id
6. Cleared the data in in the PVR TV settings
7. Exited out of Kodi
8. Launched Kodi and enabled the IPTV pvr stalker client
I was able to successfully authenticate and download the guide as well
Hope this helps other people

Hi,
Thans for the info! I tried exactly as you described on my tablet and firetv stick but i get the same
error message: authentication failed, retrying.
i'm really going to think there is something wrong with my account.
Follow the directions below but first: Disable PVR Stalker client (or make sure it is disabled). Shut down Kodi. Go to the Donation Checker and issue an IPTV Reset. Wait at least 15 minutes and then restart Kodi, but do not enable the PVR Stalker client yet. Follow the directions as you configure the disabled PVR Stalker client. Once the configuration is completed exactly according to the directions, enable PVR Stalker client.

Hi,
Thanks for the very detailed information. I must be stupid but i cannot make it work.
I changed the MAC, waited 15 minutes. Then i did a reset and waited again 15 minutes.
After that i installed Kodi 17.1 and configured the PVR stalker plugin exactly as described in the tutorial, did a restart from Kodi, cleared data and enabled the plugin.
after about 10 secs i got again an authentication failed retrying.
As portal URL i used http://mw1.iptv66.tv/stalker_portal/c/index.html and as user/pass both my 4919xxxxx number (what is not my order number).
i have no idea what else i can try.

http://s1.iptv66.com/c/ is also giving me an authentication denied :(
Did you do an IPTV Reset after you changed URL?
I'm not certain that if URL is working yet. I did see some evidence it wasn't, but I'm not absolutely certain.

Hi,
I'm not quite sure if i did a reset after i changed the URL.
At least now i have to wait again 24 hours to be able to
perform a reset...

Is this still current? Running 17.1 RC on AFTV using quest build. Tried this and changing IP address. Still getting auth error and then sits on pvr manager loading channels? Not sure what else to try.

yes, for me it is. I am not able to get to work since i bought the account three weeks ago.
I tried a FireTV stick and a tablet with a complete fresh install of Kodi but both not working
despite the detailed installation manual what i followed step by step.

I also had a lot of problems, but I did not RESET my mac-adres, I only changed the mac-adres every time I did something else to resolve the problem. However when I did a reset of the mac adres, everything works well. You also read somewhere that you have to delete twice PVR data, startup kodi again, delete twice the PVR data and then enable the Stalker client (in my case).
I think the new server is an improvement, because I think that the channel change is more quick. Also everytime when kodi starts, I get 2 errors (one with the PVR client, the other with the epg), and now I don't get errors anymore.

karel,
Just to be absolutely clear, you are using stalker client version 2.8.3 included in Kodi 17.1 and it is working for you?
If so can you give us a step by step guide?
Is this working for anybody else?
Thanks!

Yes I use stalker client version 2.8.3 on Kodi 17.1 on a Raspberry Pi. I also did a lot of things as I already mentioned so I'm not sure about the exact order, but I think this should work:
1. Disable the stalker client
2. Do an IPTV reset and wait minimal 15 minutes before connecting again (I think you must also use the same mac-adress as before the server adress change was, otherwise use another)
3. Clear 2 times the PVR-cache and EPG Cache
4. Update the new settings in the Stalker in the meanwile, also put a new serial number (13 digits) and device ID (6 digits). I use this as serveradress: http://s1.iptv66.tv/c/ (http://s1.iptv66.tv/c/c)
5. Restart everything
6. Clear 2 times the PVR and EPG-cache
7. After minimal 15 minutes enable the Stalker client again. You notice immediatly if it works or not.
Hopefully this works

Thank you for the clear step by step.
I'm using an android box, but am getting one tomorrow that I will convert to Libreelec (Linux). Maybe it's an OS issue. What OS are you running on your Pi?

Dude!!!!! It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will post a new guide as soon as I confirm what I'd did. I did it a little different.

Fine that it works. I don't know what's the most essential step in this. I have OSMC at my Pi (latest version).

Both of you guys are using RPi's? I'm asking because I'm trying to get a route going on a AFTV but no go, my Pi's and another AFTV are working just fine.

Thanks karel, your steps got me going on my PC booting to the Linux OS after days of frustration. I replaced my MAC, serial, devices etc with new data and bingo.
The same steps and configuration on Windows 10 still gives me the dreaded "Authentication Failure", so there may be something about the Windoze OS that is killing Stalker. Just another reason to hate that company.

I wonder if those steps will work on AFTV, time to check it out. Did you replace the MAC with all 00 or you just left it blank?

For Stalker Client to work you need to set a real MAC.
While you need to set the MAC to blank if you're looking to stream to VLC or Simple Client, once you have downloaded the .m3u list you must go back to a real MAC that matches your Stalker config. The .m3u method will still work.

I did change the MAC to 00:00:00:00:00:00 then I did a reset and it works with built in Stalker Client on SPMC 16.6

Dara closed my thread for some reason. I never get authentication error but now it only plays 5 minutes before freezing.
Have to exit and restart. I will try to set a proper Mac on Stalker and update my rocket with it.

Indeed I also put a mac-adres 00:00:00:00:00:00. I forget to mention this, because I also get the authentication error after I did this. It is turns out to be a part of the solution, together with the other staps mentioned before and summarized in http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?27483-Kodi-17-1-amp-Stalker-2-8-3-tutorial-Working-as-of-March-14-on-3-systems&p=182303#post182303

I moved the main material to the Kodi Tutorial area so the discussion would stay in one thread. IPTV Stalker (video add-on) has nothing to do with the PVR client, so that's why that thread was removed. Thanks for the contribution.

So I gave up on Stalker and focused on the simple client. I used the URL generated by the IPTV reset tool and it works way better than with Stalker. I get channels that didn't work before and I don't get booted out (at least so far).
I just downloaded my M3U and will use that instead of the URL, it's supposed to work better.
If everything continues to work, I'll post a tutorial tomorrow.
By the way, this is only 3 steps and NO AUTHORIZATION required!

So I have been using this for 2 days and it works perfectly. Simple IPTV client is the way to go.

Modmike, are you getting a full guide with logos just by using the M3U and Simple Client. I'm still using the built in Stalker Client and working pretty well. Don't mind switching over to the Simple IPTV. Do I need to zero out my Mac, and just grab the M3U and paste it into Simple Client? Thanks

I just posted the tutorial I promised in the main thread (http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?27546-Kodi-17-1-and-Simple-IPTV-Tutorial) . I havent tackled the EPG yet, will do this aft and update the tutorial.

ADP0361,
Sorry I should have answered your question directly. Yes you will have to zero out your Mac address and yes you can download the m3u, copy on your network, and set the path. You can also just set up Simple IPTV to go to the m3u URL directly. This will keep you up to date with any changes.
I don't get ANY kind of guide, it is frustrating and it's what I am working on next. I tried Ivue2 and while it's nice, it is very heavy. I'd prefer the native one.
By the way, when I was using Stalker, I wouldn't get some channels that I get in Simple IPTV. Do you mind sharing your Stalker settings? I need to figure out the guide issue.

Hi, Something is definitely wrong with iptv66 I have tried activating four addresses over the past three days with stbemu app and all are logging into the portal with epg but yet only black screen channel 27 is working and some other spanish channels.
Please rectify issue.
