Kodi installs but won`t load

I have a windows 10 combo android 4.4 box, the windows OS system works fine and for the most part the Android side also works fine except when I install Kodi 16.1 it installs,loads but imediately get a box saying"unfortunately Kodi has stopped working" I have reloaded kodi using usb stick, direct from Kodi download site, and even tried Kodi 16.0 and all give me the same response. I even did a factory reset and repeated the same procedure and still the same result. I am stumped. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

try 15.2 on android 4.4

yes I did try 15.2, and same result. All versions install and then after the bar at the bottom loads on first launch it immediately pops up the message Unfortunately windows has stopped working. I have loaded kodi 16.1 on androids with 4.2 so I would assume that version 4.4 should accept with no problems. I don`t know what to try to resolve this problem. I am still open to suggestions. Maybe some of the mods with more experience in this area might have some thoughts as to what is causing this issue.
