Reset box here but you will lose everything : http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?530-how-to-reset-your-box

When you say lose everything, does that mean all the tech stuff as we didn't do that. We got it all set up and just did the internet stuff and it was fine. I wouldn't know where to start if I had to go from scratch.

I've tried the old "on and off technique", it's just repeating the step of yellow line then a black screen saying loading and then back to the yellow line and loops. I'm worried if I reset that I will lose all the info that was put on for me. What a pain!!!

Sorry, what's ftp? Also if I take it back to factory settings I won't know what to set it up as.

ftp if seen, may mean it is attempting to load an update to the receiver thru the internet connection.
There is a setup button on the remote, just below the blue button. Try using that and see if it will take you to the menus

If I use the gears button below the blue button I get a menu screen but nothing seems to help. I'm not sure what I'm doing so hesitant to mess around with much. It did this because I wanted to change the theme!!!

what theme or in what menu were you trying to change ?
Bkman mentioned to try another TV
You may have put the receiver into PAL mode, which some TVs are not compatable with. The Mags factory default is PAL mode.
If you can take it to another TV and try, it may work, if this is the trouble.

I changed the default theme to graphite. I thought it would be clearer.

Are you using a Mag254 iptv receiver ?
Or is it another receiver ?

It was in settings and I can remember which tab now. The blue theme is the default and it offers you ocean, green, cappuccino etc. I've done it before and it wasn't a problem.

It's driving me nuts, just changing the theme has done this! There doesn't seem a way to undo it.

Hello All,
I have recently got a OTT TV BOX, but recently there has appeared an advertising bar at the bottom of the screen with a "pop up" opening up every 3 minutes and then a full web page, no matter what app I am using; Show Box, Mobdro, Kodi.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can eliminate this issue?

some images will not load on site here.
You can use a file host web site and post piucs there and then just share the link with us.
you can use a site like mediafire.com
They want you to register there to use their services , but you can use a false name and false email (long as it has a valid email extension)

The only message I've had apart from the blue screen to the black loading screen is the Java Sctipt Error. It must be a corruption with the them so it can't load it but there seems no way to remove it or get it back to default .

That's it! My screen flashes between the 2! I get a little yellow on the blue screen before it changes to the black loading and then back again. It goes back and forth.

there is something else you can try and that is to load the r14 thru USB method.
At their website for the mag 254 are detailed instructions on how to do that.

I still do not see on this mag254, how yous found that option to change the theme
I thought maybe there would be a description of it at the website too, but can not find it there either

I wish I could remember the tab. It was about half way down in the menu setting and when you go into it you can set other things and the theme at the bottom. It's obviously not able to boot with that option but don't know how to roll it back. Fed up now, we've not had to for nearly a week.

Where did you get your box and service? Online, craigslist, flea market, etc? If you don't know which service provider you're using or your login details, you're going to be SOL if you end up in a factory reset situation. I would try to get in touch with whoever sold you the box, tell them what happened, and see if they can help sort you out.

You can try this:
Unplug STB from power source.
Press and hold «menu» button on the remote (or the power button on the front panel).
Without releasing «menu» button (or the power button on the front panel) Plug STB back in.
Release “menu” button when BIOS is loaded.
choose “Def. Settings”.
press the right arrow.
confirm by pressing the “OK”.
Select “Exit & Save” to save and exit. STB will reboot automatically.
If there is no image displayed on your tv then complete next steps:
Unplug power of STB
Press and hold “Menu” button on remote
Plug power on STB with holding “Menu” button
Hold “Menu” button during 5-10 seconds.
Switch PAL - NTSC with single press on red button “F1” on RC.
Then start from the beginning again.

Keep in mind though, if you factory reset and the box seller doesn't get back to you with your login details, you'll probably have to resubscribe at an additional cost.

Hey guys I am stuck in the same problem. I have resetted to factory settings so many times and loaded the portal again but keeps on going on to the same loading bar error as othersm does anyone knows any solution ? We just changed the theme in the iptv client and it's not working even after resetting the whole box. Thanks

changing that theme is the issue.
You musta had a different service on that mag before. One that gave you a zip file to load.
you will need to take that mag back to factory settings thru bios functions... look in sticky threads for that

I have done reset through bios and when I again add the portal from my provider it keeps trying to load the portal with the same skin and same issue. The skin somehow is not going back to default for my providers portal. Anyone any help please. I would highly appreciate it or if anyone knows any where else who should I contact

I once had a similar issue and a hard reset through bios worked a treat for me.
If you are not using one of the supported services from this site I think the only option would be for you to go back to your reseller and see if they can sort?

I know somebody got that problem before....the new theme is stored at server level (looks like your set it is not supported) the only way fix it was sign with a different provider that new address will give the standard theme..i know is going to cost another subscrption. if you use an emulator instead of the real mag is going to reset changing just the mac address .... but for that you need a differnt box google or android and install a mag emulator...
you can try this:
- go in mac address reset web site
- enter any new mac address approved by your provider (00:1a:78:xx:xx:xx)
- wait a couple of hours the reset again this time with your real mag MAC address.
- you should have now a virgin account set up when you start your box
Hope it helps
