Kodi 17.0 on T1

I see today in the app market there is a kodi 17.0.Has anyone tried this yet on their T1,if so how is it working compared to 16.2.Any info appreciated..

does not seem to work I downloaded it but it will not load just says loading and then goes back to the main screen

Apparently Kodi 17 is only supported android 5.0 and up. Since T1 is Kitkat Kodi 17 is likely a no go. Not sure why it's even on the market TBH.

also jarvis has been disscountinued and blocked on 4.4

Yeah I was disappointed that the device shipped with 4.4. If the grided guide won me off. I doubt it's going to get updated to 5.0. I think that would be a significant leap.

Kodi 18 is where it's at. Greased freakin' lightning. Hopefully Dreamlink will push an android update to us at some point.

This is a very nice little box. I have the Kodi Jarvis 16.1 and it works great. I watch movies on Exodus. Way cool.
I would like to request that Captainkangaroo's team upgrades the box to Android 5. That would really make it a kick--- box.
I am very happy with mine. Would highly recommend for IPTV.
Best advice I was given was to hook up a wireless mouse to the USB 2.0 port. Makes setup a whole lot easier.
I don't have a wireless keyboard/mouse to try but that might even be better. JMHO

I'm new to dreamlink t1 and the forum, but I don't see kodi 17 in the market. Did they take it down or is my market not loading.

It's only compatible with Android 5.0 and above and the T1 is currently using an older version of Android. It was apparently added to the market mistakenly and has since been removed.
