Kodi 17

Hi,

I upgraded my kodi from 16.1 to 17 and something odd happened on my nvidia shield.

I don't know if I can even mention this here but I was using the Pulse build and when I upgraded to kodi version 17 it all went haywire. The menu was at the left hand side on a vertical as apposed to along the bottom and horizontal. The submenu items disappeared but the addons were still there hiding somewhere. I could not find a skin that would fix the problem, tried several. Had to go back to 16.1 version.

Strangely I did the same upgrade on my mobile phone and the Pulse layout stayed the same.

Any ideas anyone?

That sounds like a skin issue. You need to review your skin settings and/or version. You could try changing the skin to a default then back to the build skin. Your build might be optimized for Kodi 16 and the skin might not be compatible for Kodi 17.

Thanks Dara. I tried a few different skins, axeon, confluence. Strange how my android phone kept the pulse build looking exactly the same as kodi 16.1 with not having to do anything but my nvidia shield went weird.

The upgrade on the shield automatically changed the skin to one I'd never seen before. I didn't like it as it was to different.

Guess I'll just wait until version 17 is properly released on the playstore.

I had to delete kodi and start again setting up stalker client and all my old settings. 30 mins work so not so bad.
