Updating from Kodi 15.2 to Kodi 16

I currently run Kodi 15.2 on a MInix…the system has been running trouble-free for a year and a half and I have made backups on a dedicated thumb drive that is permanently attached to the back. My device has no SD card.

In case I want to update:

Should I go to Jarvis or straight to Krypton?

What is the process? Delete Kodi 15.2 completely? Or install new Kodi first?

And then there is the issue of how to transfer all my add ons and settings to the new system….can anyone help or point me in the right direction.

I googled but all links seem to be leading to sellers of equipment somehow.

I cannot speak about Krypton, but I definately like 15.2 over Jarvis. I have more skin options, which give me up to 25 apps on the main page, some apps are easier to set up also. The only bad things seems to be that the stalker client epg is an hour off in 15.2, and the backup going from 15.2 to 16 looses its sound. But do not let my opinion influence you. Give it a try.
