I liked this one. Maybe just because the story line is hero-ific :)


7 guys out to save a town from a ruthless landowner.

Denzel Washington plays the role of Chisholm, the main gunfighter -slash- lawman.
The time frame is in Billy the Kids era

Chisholm, I think they take the name from the Chisholm landowners and cattle barrens of Billy the Kids time.
They also mention Dave Rudabah who Christian Slater played in Young Guns II

If any remember Young Guns opening scene where old Billy is on a horse in the dessert landscape and then comes up over a hill and there is a automobile parked there on a highway. That was the reporter to transcribe Billy live story. Well the opening scene in this one is the same,m except it is Denzel and he is not old and on the other side of the hill is not a automobile or a highway, but an old cowboy town of the era and with real cowboys :)

I just thought them two scenes outta two different movies were too closely alike to ignore, and with it being set in same time era :eek:

Some good characters and a pretty decent movie

That sounds fantastic something you can go back in time just sink in to the couch and indulge
the out there what you might call it. be there in 15 minutes thanks Crazed
was looking for a move that did that thanks for pointing that out

Not bad for a remake, the most compelling reason to see this film would be for the good work of the cast and the action scenes.
