Anyone Here Have A MAC Address That Doesn't Start with 00 ?

Anyone have a MAC address that doesn't begin with 00? Keep getting authentication error when running Kodi with Stalker PVR through a PC.

Please keep in mind that I'm using a paid type service where a donation number doesn't apply.

The MAC address for Kodi has to begin with...

00:1A:78:XX:XX:XX

If it doesn't, you will get an authentication error. You make up the last three pairs and link it to your account in the donation checker. The MAC address doesn't need to have anything to do with your network MAC address, although you can use that to flesh out the last three pairs.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using one of the non-nfps setups where payment is not in the form of a donation. The reseller stated my Mac address is not correct. He mentioned it should start with 00:1A:79. Was he suppose to provide a donation number? My understanding is donation only applies to nfps setups.

If you bought a box that does not have a mac address that does not start with 00:1A:79, then to use your donation you need to create a mac address that has 00:1A:78. Note the "78"! One of my boxes is a M8S and therefore I use KODI to access the stalker channels through the stalker client app. Therefore I create a completely new mac address, I am using the last 3 bytes "xx:xx:xx listed under the KODI information screen. You can also see the mac address in your router. Then you register your created mac address in papiao and in stalker client or one of the other apps that are provided here at this forum.

No box, I'm doing it through PC using Kodi and it's through a paid service through a reseller. So there is no donation number I can use to link the Mac address.
