I've had mag installed on Mygica for some time now. It used to work no problem. I recently went to watch it after not using it for months. I had to update magtv to the newest version. When I added my portal URL and Mac info,I now get an error message saying please contact provider to register this device. Am I missing something?

Depending how much time you have been away, you should take a look at the Donation Checker. Make sure your account indicates that it is still active. Also, the portal addresses changed a few months ago. Make sure you are using the one assigned to your account. It might be different than what you were using previously.

I don't know much about this stuff. My brother set it all up for me a year ago. I called him yesterday and he checked over the Info on the site yesterday. He verified everything is working and he said it should be working too. He does know much about the magtv settings though as he uses something different on his own.

Here is the Donation Checker for NFPS. You need to make sure the portal assignment matches what you have in the Mag. There is no way around that.

He said he used that and everything was good. I've read some guys are changing the :79 to :78. I might go on the site and try that see if it does anything.

Ok. I've changed my Mac number on the site from :79 to :78. If I use STB, everything comes up with a guide. If I press play to watch a channel, I only get black screen. If use magtv app, I input my correct info and press save. When I click Mac number to view the number, it shows the old number still and when I go back to settings to view all the info I saved, it is gone. Bad bad luck
