I know this subject has been posted multiple times, but is anything actually being worked on in regards to UKTV EPG being missing? Been about a month not working for me.
Tried using UKTV EPG Grabber that member 'couch potato' posted about but cannot get it to work properly :(
Anyone using alternatives for the meantime?
No alternatives to the three supported servers.

Actually, Couch Potato's UKTV EPG Grabber works great once it's set up, rounding out all the missing UK guide listings nicely. It did, however, take a fair amount of time to figure out and a good deal of trial and error before it was fully functioning.
I was frustrated at first but persistence payed off. Maybe start over and try it again?

Yeah I saw a lot of people praising the grabber and it looks like an excellent solution. I'm usually really good with these things as I work in IT but the UKTV EPG Grabber I had to leave alone before I put a fist through my Laptop. Followed the guide, reset IPTV and EPG cache... nothing. Might have another go in a bit.

Did you manage to integrate it with **********?

Yes, it's integrated with ********** so that UK and US listings both show up now. It took several tries to get it to work properly, and I couldn't get it to work with PVR Stalker NFPS with VOD enabled. However, it functions with the built-in PVR Stalker and PVR Stalker NFPS with no VOD enabled. Which are you using?

Using pvr.stalker - the one inbuilt with Kodi as it loads channels much quicker.
The only reason I can think it's not working is due to where the saved file is being kept? Currently sitting under:
File Directory: C:\Users\<username>\
File name: epg
Not sure if this needs to sit under the same location as where the ********** xml file is

I was wondering about that too! After trial and error I don't think it has to be in the same location as the ********** file. PVR Stalker though, should be configured to point to the location of the EPG XML file created by the UKTV Grabber, wherever it is. I'm using android. Do you have the PVR Stalker setting enabled in UKTV Grabber settings? Are you using version 1.02 of the Grabber?

Holy mother of God! You sir are the(next)man! :D. It all seems so blindingly obvious now that it's working. Thanks!
Turns out I hadn't set the pvr.stalker to point to the same xml file as the epg grabber. Derp.

All good brother, I'm psyched you got it working. Fully functional now? Strangely, the thread containing the UKTV Grabber seems to have disappeared mysteriously, so we may be the last to benefit from Couch Potato's ace work. Enjoy.

Yep fully functional now. I'm psyched I can actually see what's on TV now
Noticed that it disappeared earlier too. Glad you gave me the heads up on potential fixes :D

I had to eat humble Pie, Once I worked out how to set it up the uk Grabber works great and I appreciate Couch potato's work.
Now I just use the Grabber addon let it download the 80 channels wait about two minutes then when it says its done I reboot and all uk channels integrated with Ninja Good work Couch.
Strange thing is I cant see the post/thread regarding the UK TV Grabber anymore that gave the download link.

UKTV EPG Grabber is fantastic, right? Couch Potato did a hell of a job on it, a highly laudable effort, but unfortunately, as you've observed, that thread has disappeared with no word from Couch as to why or what happened. So if you have it (version 1.02 is the last release i'm aware of), consider yourself among the few lucky users with a fully functioning EPG including complete UK listings.

The epg is also working on both us and UK on new range using the bespoke middleware

I wish someone could translate this into iptv for idiots like myself. I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Can someone elaborate in simple terms? if there is such a thing.....

I understand where your coming from Go Vegan am certainly not computer illiterate but it would be nice if people could explain in simple novice terms how to do something step by step instead of assuming you know as much as a NASA scientist as I have no idea what changedmy is referring to regarding bespoke middleware .
And yes thenextman I am grateful to Couch for being a lucky user.

damn! that's not good news. i ran an update last night because the US portion; the EPG Ninja 1 day pull data-well ran dry, and it worked, although it took a notably long period of time to process, during which i thought it might time out before it eventually finished up. Will post more info on the outcome when another update is needed.
@Vegan i'd venture that the bespoke middleware of which changedmy is obliquely referring is a kodi add-on called the UKTV EPG Grabber released for a short period on this forum by a Savile Row-esque code tailor who's nom de guerre has been raised in the foregoing discussion. My circumspection in this matter is due to gratitude to the author in the wake of the add-on's thread suddenly ceasing to exist, with no guiding instruction or comment from them.

Be great if simple English was used on this forum LOL:D
nom de guerre /circumspection. No offence intended.

Since the native EPG Ninja guide now has UK listings, the results may be coming from the guide itself and not the Grabber. You might try disabling the Grabber to better assess the origin of the UK data.

Yeah, I'd second that suggestion by Ilan. The UKTV EPG Grabber seems to have reached obsolescence but the return of EPG Ninja UK listings (mostly) obviates its need.

Good to see uk guide returning again, The UKTV EPG Grabber now seems to be working again and includes London tv and a couple of other uk channels missing. But if your not a cockney or bothered about a few missing uk channels then I Conquer that it (Mostly) obviates its need at this time, until the next time we require it.
Thanks to all who sorted it out, and thanks to Couch Potato for his addon.

Damn, I'm back to square one. UKTV Grabber & ********** are both failing to grab UKTV guides now. Back to multiple resets and cache clearing to get it working again :(
I appreciate the hard work from Couch Potato, and the guys at ********** for everything so far.
Sometimes the UK data providers don't have the data, so the epg has nothing to offer.
