mag 256 issues

I just bought a mag 256 box hooked it up did a autoupdate current version is 220 but when box reboots loads see the loading server bar then comes up
firmware of your stb is outdated please update it ive tryed many times re downloaded firmware but still same problem. i notice when gets to imfomar screen i dont see loading image etc like mag 254 box i have if the 256 should do same. any help iam hoping i havent got a faulty new 256.

Infomir specifically says that the MAG 256 is only compatible with Stalker Middleware 5.0, I dont think the servers here are running Stalker Middleware 5.0.

Servers are at 4.9.22, you are out of luck. There hasn't been any word on an update.

Good news for you, depending which service your using NFPS or Rocket you will be able to use your MAG 256

Rocket 22.iptvrocket is on Stalker Middleware 5.0.1

NFPS Portal 2 - 2.iptvprivateserver.tv is on Stalker Middleware 5.0.1

NFPS Portal 3 - 3.iptvprivateserver.tv is on Stalker Middleware 5.0.1

The rest of the NFPS portals will be updated soon (no date given, but 2 upgraded in the last 5 days)

I suspect they will be one of the last servers to update to Stalker Middleware 5.0.1, but it's very likely its coming to them as well just dont know when.

I just got the MAG256 and am considering going back to MAG254 because of the following problems I am facing. Can anyone help?


1. Every now and then it freezes up - black screen! I have to disconnect from power and restart.
2. The channel changing has some lag built into it. Takes a bit. I did not notice the lag when I saw a MAG254 at a friend's house.

4. Any word on recording to USB?
5. No Closed Captions on any channels?
