I made a donation of $80 to papiano.tv, yet when I check my card $85 had been charged. What's going on?

I'm pretty certain there is both a processing fee and an exchange rate fee, which is customary for international transactions.

Not an exchange rate. The page said $80.00usd. I have to assume usd means US dollars.

When listing price they should be more honest, If the price is $85 say the price is $85. Don't say the price is $80 then charge someone's card $85

Their should be some mention of that on the page. Also the page says $80usd. What do you think usd stands for?

If you're that upset over $4.95 spread over a year (i.e., $.013 per day), you probably shouldn't engage in international transactions to begin with. Papiao isn't making hidden profits off this, so it isn't a scam as you suggest. Everyone got charged this fee, and it is the cost associated with making an international transaction. The fee varies from country to country, card to card and bank to bank. You didn't even purchase directly from the services here, as recommended. You purchased from a reseller.

Over the last decade, banks have dramatically increased their fees for overseas transactions. Visa and MasterCard levy a 1 percent fee on international transactions, and some banks that issue those cards also tack on a currency conversion fee (additional 1–3 percent). Ilan in a different thread, I asked you what were the best people to deal with on this matter and I got NO reply. I can provide a link if you like. The issue here is being told one thing and getting something else.

I'll let it rest from here, But I want it to be known that I think who ever should be more truthful about the cost someone will be charged for the service. Don't say one thing and deliver something else.

You can get a lower rate for a retail or reseller quantity purchase. Look at the lower portion of the NFPS page (link below) for a price/quantity retail/reseller discount schedule. You start getting a break with the purchase of two and the discount increases up to a ceiling at 7 or more. Note the activation differences. (Look at the first link in my signature for the Web sites for the other services here.)
