In the red section of the manual to the Mag254 I just received it says

In case your TV is capable to operate with connections through component video inlet, use component video cables.

Unless you convert HDMI to component, how do you get component out of the Mag254?

I think the Chinese translators confused component with composite.

If you need to convert to component, the HD Furys do a remarkable job of converting the HDMI signal to component and audio
