Mag254 becomes unresponsive, times out

Just bought a new device. After few hours when we turn on the TV, we expect some channel to be running which is not the case. The screen is blank. It would seem that the device has gone into standby mode. However, we cannot seem to be able to bring it out of standby mode. Pressing the red power button on remote makes the front light to blink, however no picture is visible. The only solution that works is to unplug the device from the back and perform hard reboot.

I tried looking for some setting to disable the standby or time out but could not find. Any solution will be appreciated. Thank you.

Everyday I power up my mag I usually have to reboot at least once but after that it plays pretty good.

the 'powers-that-be have the servers set up to boot u off every 2 hrs...

For the last 4 days , my MAG 254 ,is freezing with ERROW, message saying " CONNECTION PROBLEM " and if I change channels it works , but CNN and FOX NEWS STAYS DOWN for quite some time . Any help with the IP GUYS ????
