Avov or Mag 254?

I have a choice between an Avov and a Mag254 not sure what one to take. Any ideas?

I have both but there is one advantage of having the avov is that you can have both add ons to watch movies and the ability to have the IPTV and the HD Quality picture on the avov is pretty good for IPTV side as tested by me. The bad thing about it is that it is more down then up so you will have problems logging into the box when its down for maintenance and there is no real EPG Guide one other thing is that Im really not sure if you can record with this box as I really never looked into trying. The MAG254 is a much nicer box with a much better picture and the layout of stalker is more user friendly and can record. The bad thing about it is that its all you can really do with this box is use it for IPTV and nothing else

Seen one...Mega265...have you seen one?...looked pretty good and on the IPTV side the video looked great and smooth not choppy.

You r right bro someone knows about the mystery box that's how we all know it's coming. Now when that box coming he did not tell us. All I would say that box will do both and better than mag and avov. Since you know the different between avov and mag and mystery box will do both whatever mag and avov can do. I would wait patiently for that box.

Avov uses their own app market so no, you can't load apps not offered by them. There is a list of apps in the avov section to browse through

so my question does the avov use the real full stalker program or does it emulate it so you dont get all the features like the 260?

Avov has a app called tv online which is a stalker app.

Mag 254 i like a lot better.

thanks......that's why i jumped on the 260 thought ya 2 in one but was let down the remote even sucked..........im okay with 2 boxes.....my minix and the mag 250......i will get the 254 if i feel i need it........i do like the remote for the mag box it has the volume and page up down options. but for me with the right iptv set up and if they keep up on the movies it will be all i need...

I have tested the addon for testing Rocket VOD and the few channels and I don't recall seeing a guide but next time I need to double check that.

Both the mag260 and avov use an emulator to get iptv.

Avov is locked to what they offer and mag260 is an open system.
Avov is simple but mag260 offers more testing options.

And how does iptv streaming via an emulator differ from direct (such as mag 254)? Will mag 260 stream iptv channels via emulator the same as mag 254?

the mag 260 needs the emulator in order to work with iptv, but it does work...

the emulator is a copy of the stalker software off the 250 /254 it will play tv but its not the full function......its like taking a picture f the stalker screen and putting it on an android box........and you can watch tv but there is no page up and down and the volume is wonky it to me was just a let down and a waste of money

the 250 / 245 feel like a reel tv set up.......i like it way better i say leave xbmc stuff on media players and iptv on the mag 250 /254

sound was fine on the mag 260 using the mx player, but you are right as it doesnt emulate everything, but it is running solid.. more to be seen when the release of live channels are there... there is a page up and down using the remote with the mag 260, not sure if thats the same box you were using?
