Mag 254 just set up freezing big time

I just set up my mag 254 I think I set up correctly but it freezing big time read other post but getting a little confused I'm a newbie with this iptv. Also been reading about test your speed not sure how to do that I am hard wired thanks for help

Some channels are freezing others not at all if too bad may be best to try another, for speed test at your computer,,http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?30-speed-test,,mag one does not work at this time..

Still freezing big time this am I tried changing my buffer didn't help anything else I could try. Thanks

is your live channels freezing or with vod also? what ch freezing some or all?

Yes live and vod I was flipping threw channels last night couldn't find one that wasn't freezing. I did notice that when I change channel it will stay stable for a few seconds than big time freezing? Thanks

your vod should be fine ,live im getting some freezing also .it could be your internet.

you need about 2mb for good SD TV .
you need to have it hard wired from router to MAG254
you should test with WIFI off
you should have no other connections in the router
you should reboot router before test
you should not have any proxxies/VPNs/rerouting - std settings

No other connections on the router ? This is a bit extreme don't you think ?

no other connections would eliminate the need for a router at all...

Have my mag254 on wifi also four other devices plus computer connected by cat5, some channels do freeze for me but most I watch run for hours with no glitch, daughter at another location says is about the same so could be an IP issue or something else, am at 7meg D/L.

Mine freezes alot and the DIY USA network and a little on History..

Ok I'm back I got faster internet I updated to 218 threw auto update rebooted I still am freezing but not big time but enough not to b able to watch can you update threw the mag or do you have to use usb.or am I missing something it's getting better

I do always try to read first sometimes it's confusing but always figure it out anyway just wanted to say my mag has been working perfect thanks for all the help
