after i subscribe to iptv66. (http://iptv66.net/)com service but disappointed with the picture quality is only SD. My questions:

1. whether there are services that provide for quality 4k or hd?
2. Can I install Google PlayStore in Avov ?
I was in Jakarta, Indonesia. My tv samsung 9500 series, Internet bandwidth up / down 100 Mbps

You might see if you can find a combination of color/tint/temperature/hue/brightness/contrast/sharpness, etc. that is better suited to SD streams. The best settings for SD are usually quite different than they are for HD.

He's asking why HD isn't provided for most if not all channels.

They tried that and a lot of people that don't have good internet speed bitched and moaned because they had buffering issues! For a lot of people it worked great but some with bad ISP providers or slow internet complained and said it was the servers....

You would think they would offer two different services. SD for regular price, and HD for a bit higher price. I would pay a bit more (assuming they get stuff figured out).

I would too - a bit more cash for better picture quality

Let me get this right... I remember when all this started that the minimum speed for SD channels was around 1.5 and for HD less than 5. Would like to know when they tried to put HD channels, haven't seen any, at least of LIVE TV. Maybe a few ones but most of them, the quality is really poor. Not even close to SD. For example, the latino channels, 800s and up, they look really bad. IMO, not even SD. SD I would call channels on IKS that are not HD and they look like 4K compared to this so called SD on IPTV. Yes, I know this is a hobbie, but don't try to justify some things. Quality is bad. IKS still is the best option right now.

A little over a month ago they tried it, I can't remember what channels they had in HD maybe someone else has the list. But yes they definitely had HD channels. As I said they worked great but we had select people complaining that they had constant buffering on those channels. Also complained that they were told that they only needed a certain internet speed and the HD channels required more speed... Also some can't accept that there ISP provider is the issue why they have buffering issues so they did nothing but complain daily.... Checkout some old threads from a month ago and you can see what I'm talking about 😉

I did see there were some channels on HD, but I'm more inclined to latino channels. I did see USA channel, 105 on HD. But latino channels, they never went to HD, and those are the ones I'm looking for. Not saying you are lying or wrong, I'm just saying that, as of now, IKS still better option than IPTV.

I don't think there were any HD channels for any of the Latino channels that I'm aware of. Who knows they may have had them lined up to add but the amount of backlash from the people complaining may have halted that 😉

Got it I didn't think to look through the PPV's.

Most of the recent Spanish PPVs added to channel 1001+ have been majorly SD, in the beginning they were 1080. The last movie that was HD added to the Spanish PPV's was Inside Out and that was 1080.

I just don't think the proper settings are being applied properly in the admin panel. There was a group of people complaining about freezing, but like pod77 i found it had to do with ISP issues, which users will never admit to.

All the US HD channels went back to SD this past Sunday. However I think there is couple lurking still, but it could just have a high bitrate on them which is what you want for smoother picture.

The fact remains: the quality is very poor about 70% of the time, I found that is especially during the evening hours on Eastern time. Perhaps image compression and the freezing are related to the same fact: number of viewers. I guess that all has to do with compression vs bandwidth at the server level in order to provide data requests to all.
Today for instance I watch a soccer game and it was the first time in the last two weeks when the image was decent without freezing. Does that mean that some upgrades occurred at the server level?
