Remote control on multiple boxes

As a first post, please don't slaughter me yet !!! I have 4 Mag boxes side by side each running different services but, of course, when you change the channel on one box, they all change as well (very annoying) So is it possible to re-code the remote controls so they are specific only to individual boxes ????

There is no recoding of the remote,only option is to keep em in seperate rooms or block the ir sensor.

You can always use Android/IOS remote apps.

I agree with baoiso , try the app , it lets you name the device so should work . I only have one magbox so can not try it .

The app is called "magic remote" it is made by Imfomar and is free .

I have three boxes (MAG 254, AuraHD Plus=MAG 255, AuraHD Intl. SE=MAG 255) and one power adapter and one remote. (other adapters and remotes left in package)
I also have different servers on each box.
I switch on that box I wanted to use, the other two are off.
So I can use the remote for every box.

But - maybe . I found two solutions for your problem:

SOLUTION 1:

My MAG 254 has now the new firmware r11 and so I can set 8 servers, if you will all on one MAG!


SOLUTION 2:

- Go to System Settings > Remote control
- Use remote control: ON
- Device Name: Maybe DEVICE 1
- Password (numbers only): 1111

On second device set the pasword: 2222
On third device set the password: 3333

And so on.

I have not tested it yet, but every box will ask you for password of remote and so your remote will only work with the one box after password input and left the other boxes in good silence?
