Any chance of recording capability soon?

I remember dvbken started a poll some weeks back to gauge interest in this feature.

Given the massive buffering that occurs during prime time viewing hours lately, the ability to record shows early in the day (when buffering is not a problem) would go some way to making Stalker a worthwhile service again. I understand this could be quite an undertaking, but I think I noticed some hints it might be in works. Any news to report?

I had no idea the Stalker Plus add-on had this capability, I've always used the version built into Kodi.

Couch, what ever happend to those versions of iptv stalker plus that had the EPG in the channel list (not using the pvr client).. I was really looking forward to that one as it allows me to use my pvr client for other things..

Hey Couch, got Version 10.2.1-r2 installed and working fine, but, lIke curgs, I don't see the same set-up screen that you show above.

I have 4 tabs: Portals 1, 2 and 3 and Parental, but nothing to the right of them except a blue arrow, that does nothing.

The VOD section is a great addition!

the addon version with the rec. feature is just my new toy (a dev. project)
I haven't decided whether it will be released to public or not
maybe I will when I'm getting bored with it soon lol
btw, the v10.2.x is dara's build, mine is v10.3.x

OK Couch, I guess we'll just pin our hopes on dvbken then.

ken already has recording working on another addon, its still in the testing stage (dont ask where you can get it, you cant and its not for stalker middleware so its useless here).. once tests are done i believe he may merge the recording stuff over to pvr.stalker.nfps. keep in mind that may or may not happen. i think it will though.

I'm just bumping up this tread to see if there's been any progress on this project.

It would seem to be the only way Stalker could be useful to me, as all channels freeze in prime time, but are mostly OK at other times.

If pvr recording were enabled it's not going to solve any problems for you. If channels freeze in prime time, the pvr recording will record the freeze. Why not just watch the programme through one of the many addons available? That way there are no commercials and better quality!
