MAG254 and NAS configuration.

Hi users,

I'm the happy new owner of a Mag 254.
I should receive my iptv account soon, but I already tryed to connect the box to my Synology NAS, unfortunately without any success.
From my PCs, I see my video and photo folders, I can browse them even from Windows as from Linux.

From the Mag254, I see my network, I see my NAS, but when I try to browse it, I have an error message saying
Unable to get server shares : Unable to get list of shares.

I tryed to figure out how to authorize the box on the NAS but I'm totally lost here.
If someone could help me, I would higlhy appreciate.

Try going into settings - advanced settings and for UPnP set it to LAN. Also your NAS has to have some kind of file sharing feature like DLNA, SAMBA, MS SMB or similar. Once turned on, it would be available to the STB and you could authenticate and connect to it, then stream file formats that it recognizes. I have WD shared with SMB works fine.
