The latest offering from Nvidia is the GTX 1070 which has just become available......to those who have the resources and the links to buy one.
Its a few sheckles less and I'm not entirely sure if the timing is bang on but its Nvidia and when it comes to Graphics they tend to lead the parade.
For those who are thinking about VR or virtual reality and its related hardware, I'd hang on, Sony is coming out with its own VR sometime in October of this year and prices on the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 "may" drop a bit depending on how greed extends to the retailers. As for the VR and Sony, I "think" the GTX 980 will be suffice to fill the entry card although it is more than likely the GTX 970 will be ok to do the job. For those who really want the top dog but can't see their way into buying the GTX 1080, the GTX 1070 might just be the ticket providing you can find one for sale.
