What speed is needed?
When I first got my Mag 254 about a year ago there was little buffering. The service didn't always work but there was little buffering when it did work. Now there has been changes to many of the channels, most notably the upgrade to HD. The buffering has become so bad that most of the time watching HD channels is impossible. What I would like to know is what internet speeds are required to eliminate the buffering problem?

Anything over 10mbps is all you really need. Buffering is not always caused by the end user. Sometimes is could come from the server you are logged into also traffic through the router slows down the speed as well. Sometime turning off the wifi on some of the devices that you are not using at the time can have a big improvement on the speed.

anything over 3mb is good, if there is no other network traffic at your home. Theone, none of the channels go over 2mb. Including the ones in 1080p.
If you use kodi press I and you will see the traffic usage. I have 6mb line and all works fine.

Thanks guys. I just checked my speed with an online speed checker and it came up with 5.87Mbps and I still get some serious buffering on some channels.

i got 8 mb.
720 and 1080 for NFPS never works for me.
720 and 1080 from an other paid service works perfectly 24/24. Even with torrents downloading at the same time....
SD on NFPS works but not always.
