Hello
I have a question regarding updating the Mag254. Mine came with r10. A friend of mine did all the setting installation including time/region and the iptv portal. Everything is working great. I'm just reading there is a new r11 release. What I need to know is if all the settings are erase if I do the update or if the box just only do the firmware update and keep all the settings?? Thanks

It does not change your settings at all if you do the update. the update is to fix and improve some services it provides.

go to the inner portal and update your box. I will not change any settings..I would also suggest you read the forum stickys and learn your menus, thks

Enter the “System settings” - by pressing «Setup», «Services» or «SET» on the remote
control (depending on the version the remote control)
- Select “Servers”
- In the input field “NTP server” enter "pool.ntp.org"
- Confirm “OK”
- Reboot mag254

Yes, I use the one above... The .gov works good.

I unplug my Mag from power, removed all my ethernet connections and leave only the Mag. Did a reset of my modem and later plug back the Mag and it fix it. Thanks
