Figured this out for the Shield anyway. Go to common settings Keyboard type choose Software Keyboard and then Software Keyboard input method set to FORCE. You will not see what you are typing but it works.

About a few weeks ago we could see what we were typing. Why are we not able to see what we type anymore on the Nvidia Shield? What changed?!?! I cannot for the life of me log into any of my 3 Nvidia Shields. They were perfect on Saturday night for the big fights. Why are others not speaking out about this?

i have tried different versions of STB emulator with software keyboard input but no luck at all.. it would be nice if there was a fix or maybe with a new version of stb emulator..
