Hi folks, having a pretty good understanding of technology, but new to the world of Kodi and IPTV, I'd thought I'd share my experiences to assist other people.
I was pretty excited to get and set up my new toy, but as soon as I as I tried to watch live TV, I experienced the dreaded buffering and the picture acting like it was on steroids grr. After a fair bit of research I did the following:
Changed my Router's DNS settings to Google (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4)
Disabled the Hardware Acceleration amcodec, but left MediaCodec (surface) and MediaCodec active
Changed the cachemembuffersize to free memory/3 *1024 - it was on the low side.
Got to say disabling the amcodec is most likely what fixed it, but decided to leave the other settings as is.
Well... it's a whole different ballgame now (I can see the ball now lol), and am very happy with the service. I'd thought I'd post this to assist other newbies/people, as I was unable to find all this information in one place.
