MAC Address

I am probably being thick, so don't shoot me!

I tried to add my MAC when ordering and it stated MAC could not be used and it should follow some other format. I donated anyway.

I never received an email and have already lost 4 days, but on reading these forums, I managed to find a link to search my route from the order number and yet again, I could not add the MAC. I have now been told that I cannot search for another 24 hours!

My question is, why the hell can I not add the MAC of my PC? Losing the plot here.

Need to go to the section for the receiver or program and you will see what you need for the mac address. The pc mac is not the one to use.

I did but it makes no sense to me. I quote an extract below:

"If you want to use a different MAC than listed, click "Change IPTV Mac Address" and enter the new one in the box and click Submit. If not successful, either pick a new MAC, or try submitting a clear box, then enter the MAC. MACs start with 00:1A:78 and the last six are hexadecimal digits (0-9, A-F) for the supported servers. Otherwise click IPTV Reset."

Am I just to use '00:1A:78' then add random, for example '00:1A:78:AB:1C;F2'? If so, I tried this and it was the last try before it gave me the error telling me I had tried too many times. I am just going around in circles.

Gonna close this thread. you only get three tries at the mac change per 24 hrs. If you can not make sense out of basic instructions I dont know what to tell you except it is not a 66 problem.

Sorry, I thought this site was for helping those wishing to use the system?

I have tried to follow the instructions, as I said before, even using the generator posted by a mod and it did not help!
