I was getting only a black screen, so I read posts about what others did and followed suit on my MAG 254. I am now stuck with TFTP mode, the blue screen and only tftp loading...... I have changed the boot setting to NAND and NAND 2, even back to DHCP with no results. I have tried a factory reset but it goes back to tftp loading at the end.....I have tried everything, I think......Help????

Same thing, just a black screen after loading. It looks like it's loading, even says "loading" and then nothing, just black, instead of the blue loading bar.....

Use the video cords that it came with then once you have them connected you set your tv to video and reboot device and go into the boot drive to fix it.

To enter the system settings , turn off the power supply . Press "Menu" on the remote and turn on the device without unpushing (hold) the button "Menu".
In the first menu you can set the video mode for your TV

Been there, done that, even did a factory reset. I can do all these things. The MAG254 loader works perfectly, just until after I read "Loading" that the screen then goes black instead of going to the blue loading bar. Up til then it is completely normal. If it were video settings I believe it would not be normal until then but would be wrong from the start.

At the point when it says loading, did you click on the menu button on the remote?

It's the only portal right now, so it is the default portal loaded. I've tried that but it just gives me the choice of the server I have a sub to or the default, preloaded portal. I pick the server portal and it says "Loading" then voila! The black screen.....really frustrating.
To go to bios and do a factory reset or other bios work, you have to hold down menu and replug the MAG in. I am really familiar with this box, not a newbie, but this particulr problem has me completely stumped....everyone else, too, it seems.....

I am in the same boat as you are. Have tried everything as you did and it is still not showing me the blue bar. Have you found a solution yet?
