Why did my MAC Addy change ?

Just spent the morning trying to get my NFPS subscription running again. Reset mac and double checked all my settings. When I went to ensure that I was using the proper portal number, I happened to look at my assigned MAC and noticed that it had changed on it's own. As an example my original mac was xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx and it had been changed to xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx !! No wonder it was down for me.
At any rate as soon as I entered the mac it had been changed to i was up and running again. Has anyone else encountered this before ? I've been using the service for about 5 months now with very few hiccups and this was a first for me. Why would my mac change when entering my proper donation number in the checker ??

For starters, it is not hard to guess your full MAC address. If you had just indicated that the last alpha-numeric had changed, it would have gotten your point across. I'd edit your post.

No idea. It shouldn't. The data is in a database, and it shouldn't edit itself, especially only increasing a single alpha-numeric by one character. Items can get corrupted, but not usually changed a smidgeon. Hopefully, it's a one-time aberration.

Thanks ilan but this morning it changed back to the original mac. Go figure. Very strange indeed.
