This discussion forum is a wealth of knowledge!

I have PVR Stalker and the EPG Updater service running on Windows 10 Kodi 16RC2 working just fine! Guide sometimes looses it's programming but that's another story.

I have a backend server, which can stream my OTA channels and my current Cable box channels through NextPVR plugin and an EPG subscription.

I searched threads here and can not find any suitable details on how two PVR's can actually work together. One thread talks about doing this but never concludes with a result, nor does he mention in detail how this is/was ever achieved. I realize the channel numbering will become sequential.

I tried enabling both, PVR Stalker won the battle. NextPVR, even though it showed loading never showed up anywhere on the Kodi interface. The channels were not merged anywhere within PVR Stalker either.

So can anyone point me to where this may have been accomplished or at least let me know if it's indeed achievable?

Thanks

I think its possible, but for me the NextPVR is problematic, it wasn't very reliable for me. PVR Staker uses more resources and memory than a plain old video addon, so instead of using that, you may want to try using the IPTV Stalker/PVR IPTV Simple client integration instead.

Thanks dara, I'll play around with them both.

I just did a quick look at the "System Info" PVR's are enabled and running. Stalker is the only one which shows up on the Kodi main menu, so I'll play around some more.

Just an update.

I tried Simple PVR, unfortunately it never really worked well with NextPVR. The Simple client always took the priority and NextPVR never loaded, or at least was never viewable. Even though the system showed two PVRs working.

So I stuck with PVRStalker and merged IPTV, OTA and CABLE source channels together. It was a bit of a channel mess to start with! I managed to use SQLite and modify my TV29.db to move the channels around so at least they are at the bottom of the list. Then unchecked all the channel TV settings to "OFF." Would be nice if we could add a user channel numbering schema to PVR Stalker, but hey, I got there! PVRStalker db assigns channels sequentially by record number, even if they are hidden.

Works very well, EPG from ninja for IPTV, EPG from Schedules direct for OTA/CABLE all merged into one EPG with icons!
