Are you not getting an IP at all? check the new router make sure the guy gave you enough ip addresses. Also try using a static address with the new box see if DHCP might be the issue.

tried a factory reset, now don't even server settings option. tried wireless but it gives me 5 options to connect to. none of them are this router, there are 2 unsecured options it says they are connected but i still don't get server settings to enter rocket url. the avov just cant see this router wired or wireless.

done that several times no luck. even wireless the avov sees my neighbors routers just not mine. its like the router and the avov are blind to each other.

Sometimes DHCP doesn't work and there could be 100's of reasons.
The easiest thing to do is put in a static IP. To find an IP go to a device that has connected and look at the last digits of your ip. Then change it to some high number and match everything else such as DNS server, subnet mask etc.

thanks for the help but after trying everything a 100 times. i hooked the old router back up and everything is good now. the reason i had at&t send me a new router was the wireless to my laptop dropped from 14mb to 4mb. seemed closer to dial up than 4mb. now wireless is back up to 14 for some reason. maybe a reboot of old router might of fixed the problem. i feel sorry for anybody with an avov that gets one of these new at&t routers, there is nothing you can do to make it work.
