EPG updater 1.0.16 plus built-in Stalker Client 1.03 befuddlement, Windows 7 PC

I'm confused. I had all this working this morning, and now it's all wacked.

I like to set my own Device ID's, Serial and Sig so I can use the same credentials on my laptop when I'm on the road. But I inadvertently started off with the new EPG updater set to "Configure PVR Stalker", so those fields were automatically populated by the new system. It all seemed to work until this morning, when the guide loaded fine, but no channels would work. I checked the papiao site and saw my portal had changed to 11.iptvrocket.tv, so I changed this in the Stalker EPG Updater config. But the channels still would not work.

Looking at my Stalker Client config I see that the Server Address still showed http://portal.iptvrocket.tv/stalker_portal/c/index.html. Should this now be pointing to 11.iptvrocket.tv?? I tried this and I got a "Stalker Failed to Load" notice. I reset my papiao donation twice in the process so now I'm waiting for tomorrow to try again.

Question: if I set the EPG Updater to NOT "Configure PVR Stalker", but to use the correct new portal, then configure Stalker Client with my own credentials, then go reset my donation, should I be good to go? Does the old Server Address need to be changed? Am I missing something else?

Check your mac starts with 00:1A:78 in epg updater

Just turn off "Configure PVR Stalker" if you want to set up your own values. The guide will be put in the location as designated, it in the default location regardless of the configuration setting. Rocket and IPTV66 portals haven't been reassigned,

OK, a new day, two more tries at reset.

Actually only one left since I reset and now have the guide loading with no complaints but still no video on the 7 or 9 channels I tried. IVue works for channels that have an alternate stream (Filmon), but nothing that uses Stalker will load.

The only thing I can see that looks out of place is the Stalker Client config where the server address is http://portal.iptvrocket.tv/stalker_portal/c/index.html and the papiao site says: IPTV Portal: 11.iptvrocket.tv.

What to try next?

Back on the Linux partition, using the same credentials, with no EPG Updater from ninja and loading guide from "Provider Only", Stalker loads the channels fine.

Kodi 15 can use either the short or long URL. Kodi 16 can only use the long URL. The updater plays it safe and configures using the long URL since it will work for both. In your case, the long address is what you need as your signature suggests you're using Kodi 16.

Thanks for the explanation ilan. I am using the long version on URL on Kodi 16. I noticed the Linux Stalker config did not use the http:// in the server address, to I tried that on the Windows side, but still no joy.

So.........the ninja guide loads with no error messages, but Stalker will not load a channel that I know works on Linux. I just get the spinning circle beside the "Working" message.

I'm out of ideas.

I figured it out, it's the $@#&^! VPN.

If I connect through a Canadian server, Stalker won't load a channel. If I connect through a US server, it works fine.

Who knew? Something must have changed, because it didn't make any difference before this week. Same protocol too: openVPN (UDP).

Well, that sucks, the blocking, that is, but at least you have it figured out. There are so darned many variables involved it can be difficult to track down the gremlin, but kudos for sticking with it.

I hope your ISP isnt blocking epgninja. Kinda a low profile website to be blocking. Could it be that your Canadian IP was blocked by ********** for too many attempts? If so, that should just be temporary.

I seem to have a similar problem, worked for a couple days. Then the epg.guide seems to have lost it's brains and is about to run out of programming information. The channels load and the guide loads at startup.

Windows 10, Kodi 16RC2.

No, I think there's an issue. I have the same situation. UK channel information is present if I get a fresh copy of the XML file, but by the next morning, program information for most UK channels is missing.
