I have the internet and ethernet emblem showing on the embedded portal but cannot get anything to come in,, even the video club doesnt come i , just says no file. Is the system down or did something happen to mine. I was watching movies yesterday on it. It was beautiful. Not a flaw. Just good movie and sound. Felt like I was in the moviehouse. Just great.

After calling me in to work they didn't need me afterall. Here I am. The latest is. I started over from the beginning and went thru the setup again line by line. Evervthing was ok. After I rebooted it came "press menu to load portal " which I did it came up"page loading error, check connection and page url" To the right of that in red letters was internet OFF, ethernet ON, IP, etc. It also listed (on the left side) 3 portals, embedded, http//:1.iptvprivateserver.tv and 1.iptvprivateserver.tv I can't seem to be able to move over to the right maybe turn the internet on. What do I do now?

No matter which one I click with the exception of embedded comes right back and says the same thing. The embedded goes to inner portal.

I think you are confusing your box with the ident. info in both portals...your modem/router is not getting internet to your box..
did you check the back for both lites on the rj-45 jack??

I'm not able to get to my box right now but I would def get rid of one of your portal settings..you only need our trial in one portal.

I believe you may have to reset your box but before that go to BIOS menu and ensure you're booting to NAND

All is done and it still doesn't work. However I see that it now has software of r3 and I believe it should be r10 right? Will someone give me a step by step how to upgrade the software. Don't want to make a mistake. Looked in the stickys to see if there was one their but it was with a usb. Do I have to use an usb?

I finally updated it and it rebooted and when it came to load portal, I did and the screen came up with "STB DAMAGED Call Your Profider. Should I return or is there something call do to revitalize it?

Kool, I did not put that second portal in. I used only one. The same thing happened yesterday. Also, how do I input r9. I do not know how to do it. Will you walk me thru step by step please?

before that, try this, from BIOS use upgrade tool and choose the rev9 software. If that doesn't work then default.

Nothing seems to be going my way with this box. I have tried everything you told me to and it keeps kicking back the message "STB DAMAGED" I called informir and he was livid that I wanted my money back said he has had a lot of people with the same problem but the box is not damaged and therfore no refund. Said it was the provider (rocket) who puts that message there and it should read "not registered" instead of damaged. Said they could not speak English. He actually hung up on me. A very rude person. Please help me if its possible. I bought it for my daughter for a birthday gift because I enjoyed mine so much. (I had no problem setting mine up) Good luck hunting eh?

I entered in portal 1--1.iptvprivateserver.tv nothing else. Also I noticed that on my stb it shows I am using r3 firmware. At least it shows that in the bottom right hand corner at the main menu.

The reason it takes me so long to do these things is I have to go to her house. She does not have a computer, just a modem that she uses for her nano premium stb. So I go there, do the deed, come back to my house and post my results. It would have been simpler to do it at my house but I couldn' get internet on it at my house. I can at hers.

I finally got firmware r9 to download and it rebooted to inner portal then blue window came up with saying my present version is r9 and it is automatically rebooting the r10 then rebooted again, I did the setup again with 1.iptvprivateserver.tv rebooted did the settings in main menu. Still get nothing. Went to inner portal to try youtube as I was asked to do in a previous post. It came on with but vocal was in and out. could not understand it. Also I noticed when loading from reboot it does not say loading to nand. BTW the video still says file missing and tv channels don't come in. I still have internet and ethernet.

[BI want you to have 1.iptvprivateserver.tv on line2 of portal 1, nothing else on any other line or portal..In your settings I want you to disable auto update and choose the notify with confirmation option, choose no to beta files. There were a couple of reports of peeps having trouble connecting with r10 that is why I want you to get set up first with r9

told you, use with confirmation on auto update and choose off for beta files....this means you will be notified of any updates when in the inner portal and you won't get beta files to test

I managed to get r9 firmware back and I have changed update from allow to with confirmation. I am still. not getting tv channels or video club, "says file missing." It works on youtube in inner portal but the vocal part of it is in and out. Picture is good. Surely someone has had this prob before. I still need help. BTW I did read the menu guide in inner portal but it doesn't tell me why I am not getting any channels.

sounds like something wrong with the receiver.
The Stalker program isn't responding correctly or something.
That program is directly from the inform guys so it would be a warranty issue I'd say.
If you bought it from a store in your area, I'd take it back and tell him to try and get it working.

That ability to perform that function comes pre-installed on these MAG254 models (in the inner portal menus).

Rocket themselves have not yet branched off from the same.

I do not have wireless availability. I am hardwired. Is that a problem? I am trying to do this for my daughter. Her hookup is a hardwired router, modem only, no computer.

You have posted several times that you do not have wifi in your location so no need for a wifi antenna, hard wire required at this point.

Rockycat. I am so confused. I stated in post 88 (I think) my problem. It has been the same problem on 3 different boxes. Believe me I would like to not have to bother you people so much but as it stands I cannot connect. Video says file missing. Tv channels don't come in. I have internet and ethernt. I run a IKS Stb from the same set-up. So that makes me think the equipment is okay, right?

After reading this entire thread, you are either the unluckiest guy in the world with 3 bad boxes, or you are missing something in the set-up. If you follow the setup guide to a T, then your box will work. Just because your IKS is up and running, doesn't mean that your IPTV will. Maybe post some more info about your ISP . It may help. I've read everything, and if you followed all the suggestions exactly, there is no reason why your box is not running. I assume you have done a complete reboot of your system, starting with the router? Maybe post pics of you set-up, including network info.

Frosty, thanks for the come back. I have one box that I set up, my second and it works fine. Don't know what is with this and the others. I am not computer literate so I don't know how to post pics. Several reboots have been done. The ISP is Att DSL. Their cheapest rate which is 176 approx. Yhe way the system is set up is as follows. Ethernet wire going from modem to the ethernet on the router, from router eithernet to mag.

I have wifi and wired...so I use wired.
It is more reliable than wifi I think.

ATT does have a user and password. They use the email address as the user and I m not sure what the password is. She has had it a long time.

There just seems to be no end to problems. We did as you asked and rebooted the modem and router. Undoubtedly the modem was on the way out because we cannot get the ethernet light to light up and we get a page error saying internet enabled, ethernet not connected. So guess she will have to go and buy a new modem. I shall return when that happens

Your predicament is SO familiar. Been through it many times in many formats. 1> Be stubborn 2> keep trying 3> see 1 and 2. I had to reset my 254 back to defalt 5 or 6 times after it updated itself and the file corrupted. Same repetitious failures. Now..bingo.. was ready to toss it. ps. always recheck your own input to the unit and ALWAYS take your time. Sometimes is takes many tries to get there.
