The servers seem to timeout at 2 hours of streaming, is there anyway of increasing that time on our end? It's really annoying when the Some one have to keep on putting a channel 2 times during a movie or something being watched.

Nothing on our end can be done... The servers are set to time out at 2 hrs... There is an ongoing thread here discussing this as well 😉
There is talk of the time being extended to 6 or more hours. Here is an ongoing discussion of the issue...

Well that post just ments my problem for a bit, I wouldn't call it an ongoing discussion. My questions is different, can the 2 hour channel timeout be increased to atleast 4 hours...

Every streaming site is the same... Flix, Tube, etc... They all make you confirm you're still watching after a couple hours.

That has to be done by the server guys. They probably won't, they want a reasonable expiration on their streams to deter stream thieves.

Alright thank you, Im just curious cause it is annoying to keep pressing OK on my mag 254 box every 2 hours. I know every service has some kind of timeout after being idle for a period of time. Knowing its up to the server guys own discretion to increase the timeout time. My question now is can you admins put in a ticket, from use, since it seems to be a hot topic.

There have been multiple tickets sent in.... There server guys do things there own way and no matter who sends in the ticket will have no impact! As I stated in my reply

it is a odd and yet not way to do it, its normally (i hate that word but i only seen nfps do it with a timeout on the channel being watched too) anyway done every time you change channel or restart the channel just like it does now too, but without the timeout or the timeout change the url at a specified timeout but let you watch the currently running stream. that way if a addon with stolen streams was made, every time a freebie tries to change channel or even restart it will die and updating the streams would get very old very fast for anyone maintaining it. even if it was a single user that did it for himself he/her should be deterred fast and pay the relatively small amount contra locating the new stream url everytime changing channel. but there could easily be some not so transparent security reasons.
there is of cause another reason that is saving bandwidth but even then it is a very short timeout, as they must know people just restart the channels but of cause it will save more bandwidth if falling asleep than with a longer timeout.
i dunno they apparently have their reasons for now and i been rambling around enough. the solution to not get shows or long movies most thrilling or cliffhanger moments spoiled is to remember to restart channels between episodes or at a boring moment in movies longer than 2 hours.
and as pod77 says nobody here have anything todo with what the server guys decide, they are volunteers (like everybody else) helping out with getting people to resolve their setup problems, mag/avov problems, kodi, emulator and a bunch of other issues. this is a community devoted to that, and making friends, there are a lot of sections :).
