iptv vs Kodi

I have a friend lol who is looking to purchase a box. I recommended the Mag 254 with IPTV which I have had since the beginning and have not looked at any other options as I am quite happy with the stations and features. What does Kodi offer that IPTV doesn't. I had a Roku and hated it to much downloading and bullshit. Is Kodi similar from what I read it seems like it.

Kodi just gives you more options instead of VOD there's way more movies and shows and addons imo

mag254 is a great IPTV receiver, one of the best.

Kodi is one of the best options that these receivers can have, but unfortunately, the mag does not do Kodi :(

So for a non techy which would be easier,and less problems. I know IPTV has it's issues but as a whole it is a great service. Don't really want my friend calling me every time there is an issue

if you can wait the dreamlink t1 is to available next month It does both iptv and has kodi

if you set up a receiver for a freind, then you will always get calls. That is enevatable and will come no matter what.
Your best recourse is to know all the answers when questions come.
Your best recourse is to set up a great system for your freind and then teach him how it works :)

those two would be my top two choices in a receiver for IPTV and Kodi
If only need IPTV then go with the Mag254
