Supposedly it's a security hole. Maybe Android Man can elaborate.

maybe, but not be in the near future.
With the constant security threats thru viruses and the such things, having the likes function was a security threat.

Tinie may get a work-around for it in the future but right now and for awhile to come, he will not have the time.

Awhile ago when an HTML virus was confirmed and removed, the Likes function had to go too.
