Hello, since Stalker Client NFPS doesn't have guide settings, what Guide does it use? Do I still have to install the epg updater, etc?

You should install the epg updater service. The guide loads in as a .zip and is expanded into the cache location. If you don't, you may get the provider guide instead.

Ok, I just wasn't sure if the 'Stalker Client NFPS' pvr has the guide address 'special://userdata/addon_data/pvr.stalker/epg_xmltv.xml' pre-configured as you can't see any of the settings.

BTW, the updater service only works with the Stalker NFPS in Kodi 16 and above, iirc.

So if I'm using Kodi 15.2 then I have to stay with Stalker Client built-in and manual configure the updater/guide settings?

The problem with Kodi 15 and older is that it doesn't cache data as expected by the updater service, and you can't direct the NFPS client to that location. However, the NFPS clients are supposed to default to the provider guide. I don't run Kodi 15 anymore, so I can't verify that. So, yes, if you want a full color guide, then you have to configure the cache location per the instructions... and even then you may not get the color guide consistently.

Ok, that must be why I can't get it working with 15.2
The updater works as I can see the xmltv file and have the 'special' path in my pvr settings but it just doesn't load any information.
I would like to move to 16 but I have a bunch of video addons already installed that I don't really want to have to re-install them all again :(

Use the Backup in programs and you can update easily... Or Google search how to backup your addons..

There are some backup addons that could help. Usually an upgrade doesn't require you to start fresh, but skin settings are different between the Kodi versions. That usually doesn't affect the addons themselves, but it's a pain if you customize your skins to roll back.

with 15.2, just set it to local path, and direct it to that file... i have not had a problem with the guide loading yet
