what is a sticky and how does it work?

A stickie is a forum post that has been 'stuck' to the top of each forum section. They say 'sticky' beside them. They are posts of exceptional value or clarity that the Administrators declare stickies so that they are always listed right at the top of the forum section so that they are easy to find. Most of what you need to know will be contained in one or more of these sticky posts. It can take quite a long time to read through them and figure things out but you will find that most members are more likely to help those that Also try to help themselves....
