Thanks for the reply KOOLkat,

I can see the mag boxes do support subtitles. I also have a roku 3 box that supports subtitles but I recently bought a third party service but the subtitles do not work in the live channel sections but some do work in the VOD sections.

The IPTV service provided here support the subtitle capabilities that the box has or has it not been implemented yet?

thank you

On the mag, the mode button (looks like a music note) brings up a menu containing subtitles.

Subtitles are not for live tv.

I am looking for writing on the screen on live television so somebody can read it. Somebody I know is deaf and reading text is there option. I thought close captioning and subtitles were the same but i just googled and there is a difference. Do the live channels have close captioning with the mag? IKS with a dreamlink works well. Thanks

Some live channels have subtitles hard copied BBC channel 135 usually has them also some of the latin channels do, will have to see how this progresses when the test is over.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I will hold off purchasing a Mag for somebody I know until the tests are all done and if close captioning is implemented as a standard feature.
