Server Location

I have a question regarding the location of IKS66 server. Is there just one server or are they located around the world. If they are many servers how does my Mag254 box know what server to use. Is it based on my ip, or is based on the location i enter in the settings. I am mostly curious, as this may affect the performance.

Also do you guys suggest enabling the setting for the buffer inside the Mag box. Right now its set at 0 and it works good, however some people have set it to .3 seconds.

You won't get an answer on the location of the server, or how they actually do things. It's a 'need to know' basis, and no one needs to know.

I was setting up Mag254 yesterday and it was very hart to type in the location. I would type in my town then it would go back to another one, so i was wondering if that ever matters, or maybe its just linked only for weather.
