my cat can open doors, yes very true.
If the door is just one inch ajar George can get it open.
What he does is swat at it like he is swatting at an intrusive animal (human or otherwise).
The door then moves a bit and as soon as it stops, he stares at it like to figure out if it's gonna fight back.. Then he swats again and door moves slightly more and same thing again, he stares it down.. then proceeds thru the open door :)
He learned that from his sister cat Missy, she was the one to figure it out. But Missy had to die in a car thing and that's when Georgy took up the trait :)
Just stuff you'd never expect in pets :)

If our outside door is not latched and it can be just pushed open our cat will stand up to about the knob and push and ride it down as it opens and out he goes. Fortunately he has a pen that he ends up in. Right now he is recouperting from gall bladder surgery and removal of a gall stone from the bile duct. VERY expensive Cat.

My cat Charlie can open doors too. If he can"t push it open. He'll put his paw under the door and shake it until it opens or we open it for him. lol
Pretty smart kitty...:)
Our cat does something amazing with doors too.
When she wants through a closed door she stands on her hind legs with her front paws on the door meowing while looking at the handle as if it obeys here every command. If that doesn't work she starts making rounds to everyone in the house with purrs and rubbing. This is usually enough to force someone to bow to her will and open that door.
If the rare case she hasn't been let out yet, she commences to what you could only consider rough nursing. She raises up her front paws on someone and stands there with those sharp claws massaging her victim into submission. Purring and acting what she considers cute while inflicting maximum pain to that victim.
Door flies open and she's off chasing anything that moves. Damn cat

Have a large pitbull if that counts. He's outside and a push-over. Cat does what she wants around him. He's just happy for the companionship :)
That would be very interesting to watch, I guess they keep you busy all the times chasing each other, I have seen some dogs and cats acting nice to each other but that is only on youtube and never in the real life, I hope yours are well behaved so you don't to be called by the neighbor twice a day.:)

Our pit barks and looks fierce when someone comes around- but in reality he just wants to crawl up into their lap and lick them to death lol'ol. Have friends that will sit outside and honk the horn, and not even think about getting out till I'm outside- even when spike is chained up.
Now the cat, she had the fed-ex guy pinned on the porch once, stood in the door ready to kill. He walked onto the porch to knock on the inside door and she pinned him in immediately, had to be picked up and held till he left. Electric guy was attacked too, and now they read my meter wirelessly from the road. Damn cat
BIO your friend must be very courageous....:), he must take a tour to the middle eastern and join the army for a little bit of time. He should come down and kiss your dog right in the mouth.
Crazed I laughed to death about the two little partners you got at home, this is the way to go.
Captain looks like you found a very good friends to stick with, I bet you they are more faithful than many human friends.:)

No cats here but I have 2 small dogs, a Pug and a Boston Terrier/French Bulldog cross.
The pug can open the door similar to your cat crazed, he will just scratch at the corner if it is slightly ajar until it pops open enough for him to wedge his head inbetween and push it open. The Boston is just crazy, can't open doors but he can run circles around you all day and not get tired lol.
It was amazing to hear all these stories from all of you, really I was touched by all of you, your love for your pets like a member of your family touched me, I guess it's a whole life experience and not only the excitement about the stories itself because I am sure that each of you has a lot to tell and share with us about his long life companion pet.
God Bless you all.
My cat is fat and dumb, but that's fine for me. :)
