mag254 is losing video signal after it loads

I have a MAG254 that was working like working just fine my Sony LCD TV. I sent that box to a friend and he is not getting a video signal after the Informir logo (loading) it goes away and the TV is saying invalid format. Why?? He has a LG Plasma TV 50PV450 (July 2011) and a SAMSUNG Plasma TV SP-R4212. I setup the video setting before I shipped out with the following with my settings:

inner portal video settings:

video output mode -- 1080p 60
graphics resolution -- 1280x720

outer portal video settings:

video output mode -- 1080p 60
graphics resolution -- 1280X720
HDMI event reaction -- immediately (not sure if i did that on his box)

Any suggestions, I am about 2500 miles away from the box. Is there anyway for me to get the video working from key combination on the remote or something

tell him to set the res down to the bare minimum and then work his way up like a good standard is 720 p which is the same as 1080x

yup his tv maybe only 702p

You folks are right about downgrading to 720p. However, the problem we had was trying to get the option to change it. On the MAG254 RC, we just unplug (kept constant hold on the menu key) and powered up while still holding down the menu to get the option to change the video output mode and graphics resolution. It worked as a charm going down to 720p. I guess I'll send boxes at 720p and then it could be changed provided the TV can handle it. Thanks
