A very dangerous animal when encountered and they have no fear of man. A small feral hog can take a man off his feet with ease. They are very destructive here and the policy on taking them is very lenient.

Farmer, in the day I used to hunt be not anymore, I have absolutely nothing against hunters but I shoot for different reasons now. There are times when I'll help out farmers or ranchers get rid of predators but that is not a very common thing for me these days.

Then shoot that animal best as your can . The more effort you take into that, the better chances to fill that deep freeze :)

sorry about your dog, Darren's was a very healthy Lab with good weight. .223 is perfect for yotes with the right bullet, it doesn't ruin the pelt for trade or sale. I personally give them to the Amish which border Darren's on one side and they do woodwork or favors in return.
