Question on settings

I updated software and followed the setup guide. Seemed to work ok but had some freezing. I see no other such reports so I assumed that it was my buffer setting which guide says to set @ zero. I upped it a couple times. Seems to work ok on 10. Is that working for the most part but still some freezing on a couple channels. Others seem fine???
I have about a 4meg internet bandwidth. I thought that would work fine. 120 Hist seems to be the worst.

Looking at my network leds for this, the box is trying to get stream but seems not consistent.??? Runs fine for several minutes, then stops. LED activity. The suddenly gets more stream.

Is it me? What more to set?

Speed test confirms 4.133 Meg D/L. Box is hard wired ethernet to the router.

Do I need to reboot the box after changing the buffer size?

What is IGMP version? What should it be set to? V2 or V3?

Ok. I went there and read a whole bunch of very technical description. Didn't help me one bit. What should it be set to for us to use the Mag254 for this server? V2 or V3?

More info ... Went back to 120 Hist later. Freezing very much improved. I did nothing. Suspect more server related than having to do with my bandwidth or settings. Won't know for a while.

Still working on it.
