Weird things w/ Papiao: Checking donation/order# & has old MAC address

I went to papiao site to check my MAC. I put in my donation and order# and it has my old MAC address before I changed it to my AVOV device MAC.

When I try to change the MAC back to my device MAC it says MAC already exists.

I goto just check my device MAC and it says the MAC is already in use.

This is odd. Makes no sense!

UPDATE
Quick update, I got a response elsewhere that there are problems with NFPS and papiao right now. I'm sure it'll be worked out.

I get unable to load channel error. I was watching TV and the guide was old. Went to reboot and now i'm dead in the water. It would seem there sorting out the authentication process if had to guess

Looks like to me that they did a restore from a backup as some donations are missing from papio.

You would think this would all be worked out by now, it's been 18 day's now since the latest "security" change.

How about they add a online service indicator ... this can be implemented for the the different avenues ... I think a lot or people would agree that this would prevent a lot of kaos . What do u guys think. . ?

Hi jrp. If your getting that message you need to log in to papiao and reset your iptv bud.

Good idea bud.

I suppose they need to get the basics up and running first though bud.

Nothing here.
What does iptv reset actually do?

Also when I check my mac it comes up with an old one that I recently changed & had working until all went down, so should I be trying to get on with the mac shown on checker or with new one that was working ok??

Iptv reset resets your login info ( doesnt effect your mac) effectly say you were logging in from a laptop and tryed to change to a box device. Its allowing ne info to be sent into it. Loke device Id. Id use the mac shown yes.

Ok thanks.

I get the iptv reset explanation but confused on other because I changed mac a few days ago & was working ok, but that's not the one on checker & it won't change it again.
Just don't wanna add to my problems by trying to get on with wrong mac.

I think your mac issue is on there side at the moment bud. There messing about alot behind the scenes at the moment.

Well Papiao lets you enter your credentials, but try and actually change your MAC and it accepts it but doesn't change it.

So there's no guarantee that IPTV Reset is doing anything either.

The reset is working. I had to unplug my mag254 last evening to move it to another tv. What a mistake that was!!!!!
When I plugged it back in all I got was the spinning blue barber pole.
Out of frustration, I read a whole bunch of forum posts and saw that doing a reset might help so I tried. When I rebooted my mag, it asked me for
user name and password and then came up with an error. This tells me the reset is working because it had never asked me for that again since the security update last week.
I unplugged it and went to bed. This morning when I plugged it back in I still just got the spinning blue barber pole. I wish I would never have unplugged this damn thing!
It wasn't working the best and it kept saying connection error on screen but at least it was working. I hope they soon fix whatever is wrong!

even that is a hit and miss ... I did a reset and nothing, nada, zilich ... zippo ... linguini ... pasta asciuta ...

Oh well, maybe the 11th month, 29thday, 23hour, 59th minute of the donation it will come back on and the service will be so amazing they will double the fee...

All your negative posts are helping no one either your here to help or go sub somewhere.

Just to note here. Moving from one device to another doesn't really need an IPTV Reset. It only makes sense doing it when you are using Stalker.nfps because there is no way of entering the different Device IDs, Serial and Signature.

I test all the time on my Laptop and push the changes to my Odroid-U3. The key here is to "Disable" PVR/TV service in Kodi on your current device. Setup everything (If using the builtin PVR.Stalker client) on your new device and then "Enable" PVR/TV service on Kodi.

If using Stalker.NFPS then do an IPTV reset before moving to new device. Make sure the current device's PVR/TV Service is "Disabled" before you enable it on the new one.

It's not rocket science. You just need to understand how it's authenticating.
