Will one of the Mods confirm this step is required only for stalker nfps and not for the Kodi built in addon. I have never done this step and Stalker Client on Jarvis 16 RC2, Windows 7 works when the server is up. I was never able to get stalker nfps to work this might be why.

Those instructions are for the built-in client. The nfps version doesn't have settings for the device credentials.

2. Mac include colons (:) or just the number.

Some channels work in Kodi NFPS, eg. NBA, but others are giving either a 504 or Authorization failed message which is strange in itself.

I can't even log into Papiao - username/pwd combination invalid and when I request a reset I don't get an email...

Okay I've just tried the above and I'm getting 'Authentication Failed' 'Unable to load channels'. I'm using Kodi on the firestick, PVR STALKER 0.8.4. Did I need to do this or should I reenter my original setting from earlier when Kodi was working?

It was in an announcement posted by Tinieblax, see the posting up there from him. Anyway, it really doesn't do anything but make your installation more unique to the server. A compliant client will send a login and password to verify that you are a valid user that is attached to the MAC you sent, and then takes that Device ID information to prevent other devices from connecting from a different client.

yeah, nfps said himself he made up the hash thing (and definitely wants people to use it still, as it generates a truly unique id) but in reality any number will do for device id.. you should do what he asked tho, he was clear on that.

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnope! No Joy. No Love. Still getting "Authentication Failed" on a shiny new installation with calculated Device ID. Nothing works. Thousands spent. My customers are talking yang to me, each other, and to potential new customers.

At the very least, the Devs should be kind enough to use communication as pseudo-Vaseline... Right now, all I can do is quivver in a corner and say "OUCH!"

I'm sorry asesinopr but your "jejej" does nothing to make me feel better. I could give a "You-know-what" about Freeloaders. They are not my concern. My money and my clients are. People who purchased donations did so in good faith. We haven't received this service consistently for over two weeks and no one is telling us what's going on and/or how long it's going to be before it's fixed. I don't mind waiting and I'm sure other people don't mind as well. But no one's giving us any idea of how long that wait is going to be.

I'm a tech so I understand how things can go wrong. But there's no excuse for this lack of communication.

TinieBlax signed his mea culpa NFPS and papio team. Who speaks for IKS66? This is the oddest help site I have ever seen. Anyone can post setup procedures and no one knows where the procedures came from. When the Mods post setup instructions who gives them the information? Do they use a crystal ball? I understand that if they have had to re-design their server security and how it communicates with their websites that it is no easy task. But this site is truly poorly set up. The information is poorly organized and hard to interpret. You should realize that some of your clients have no experience with anything tech related other than using an app store and using social media apps. All set up info should contain in the post its origin, what device and app it applies to and known problems and basic trouble shooting steps.

I'm still using the stalker Kodi addon. I submitted a new Mac and reset back again. In the addon settings I turned off send serial then then got an authorisation failed message. Turned the send serial back on in settings and all is now working.

Bkman2020, I agree with you. Personally, I'm much too busy to watch TV all day. However, I'm a reseller so I have customers who've chosen to purchase donations. When the donations they've purchased don't work, they make my life miserable. Hence, I come here to get information, whine, ask questions and generally commune with other users of the service. Do you suggest I should tell my customers to not rely on a service they've purchased, or do you suggest I shouldn't be a reseller?

Maybe your opinion differs, but I'm of the opinion that when you purchase something, you should receive it. If there are going to be outages, customers need to be informed and compensated. No one expects perfection but everyone does (and should) expect communication.

By the way, everyone - I mean EVERYONE - in my neck of the woods loves this service -- when it works. I would have no problem selling hundreds upon hundreds more subscriptions. Buuuuuuuuuttt... I'm a bit gun-shy at this point because I've lost money and business trying to keep my current customers up and running. I have a stellar reputation as a technician and I have no desire to taint my reputation.

I think when the kinks are all sorted out, this type of service is going to be the way everyone watches live TV. I just think the devs can (and should) be a lot more communicative in supporting the resellers who are putting loot in their coffers, and helping this service become mainstream.

I'm also doing great on 7 boxes. Each has survived multiple reboots. I have 4 customer boxes working with the sha256 Device ID calculation, and 3 working without. However, I'm going to put the calculated device ID on every box I touch because I'm hoping it will future-proof the config.

I was having a problem getting the epg to work. Once I installed the epg updater repo and addon (http://**********/clairvoyance/), the guide loads without issue.
